HS Brands stinks at payments !!!

Many companies require you to revisit the yes/no answers in a narrative. If you are irritated about that than you won't like most shops that have any significant amount of narrative.

I really am disappointed in this MSC because they do all one particular type of client within 150 miles that I really would have liked to do at some point. The terms to apply for those jobs are having 8-10 shops minimum for them and completing multiple certifications. I inquired about the certifications and didn't even receive a response. They are the only MSC I ever got a request to update the shop I did, I usually receive a very positive review in addition to grades of 10. And what is incredibly annoying in their shops is you have to answer yes/no questions and also write a narration about said yes/no questions. But reading others' experience with not getting paid and gettting snarky responses, I guess I can look at it like I dodged a bullet.

If you are trying to get assigned a casino job with no history with them, you are wasting your time. The jobs are complicated and extensive. They get a lot of applications for them. Even still, if they don't find somebody with a history that is qualified, they often reach out and have somebody from out of the area travel to the location to do it.
Excellent to know, figured it was competitive. I've been trying to pay my dues with their other shops, but they are not my cup of tea. No reason for me to keep holding my nose and doing low paying jobs at mall food courts or gas stations to get a history with them as it sounds like it's a waste of time. There are multiple MSC that I like that have shops I find mutually beneficial.

Did my first for shop for this company back in the beginning of April. Honestly, forgot about it, but got paid a couple of days ago. Did a bar evaluation because I literally live right next to it. To me, the report was brutal. I already knew some of these questions and requirements were going to make for an unnatural interaction at the end.

Saw a food court shop, but when I read the guidelines and previewed the report versus the pay and compensation, I immediately asked the scheduler to remove it from my list. I'm glad they removed it with no penalty.

Also, noticed a luxury retailer they have as a client. This shop paid significantly more with the previous MSC. I just don't see myself doing any more shops for this MSC.
I’m not going into it right now, but I do quite a bit of work for this MSC. They do require very detailed reports, similar to Coyle. I don’t find that a problem. They’ve been more than fair with me on scheduling and fees.
I’ll continue to work for them when they have good shops with reasonable fees.
It seems like to me one of their clients wants a step by step, minute by minute account in their evaluation, which is difficult to do without some sort of recording device. When a client wants that much detail, they should a) pay a lot more than free food and $15, b) ask for video shops to be done instead of lengthy narration. I'm doing my first one for this client this week, and it may be my last. I bought a recorder just for this shop, and anticipate it will take a long time to write up the report. But I'm still paying my dues in case I want to do a casino shop, which was my original goal with this MSC.

Maybe it's my area. It's slim pickings beyond some of the types of shops I mentioned.
I did a valet shop for them Wednesday that was approved within an hour of it being submitted.

It was approved even though next time I should find out where the keys are kept in the security section.

I have no problem waiting for payment because it's always come in the past. I'm not worried about being paid in 61 days instead of 60 days or whatever.

But people are just wired differently.
I take a screen shot of my phone’s home page (where the clock is) each time something important happens, like food delivery, etc. It helps with the timing snd allows me to do it by the second.
I did a little commentary yesterday on the casino shops under the topic “Shops You Don’t Do Any More” on this forum.

Thank you Uncle Bob, for giving me the confidence I needed to cancel the shop I have next week. I am fully prepared for them to ban or drop me, and I'm fine with that. I am doing WAY too much prep work for the ROI, and decided I will never do the casino shops that seemed awesome until you look at the requirements. I feel the same about the hotel shops, they sound great on paper but you will spend most of the time completing your shop. I have a FT job as an auditor, and don't need this much stress on my downtime. I like going to a casino, I don't want to make it a chore or something I dread. That being said, there are a few companies that have decent audit parameters and I like doing MS in general, but some companies are better than others.
They shouldn’t drop you for canceling a shop that’s at least a few days away. I don’t want to talk people out of doing casino/hotel shops, just want them to know that they are a lot of work. The straight hotel ones (no casino) are easier.

It definitely depends on the situation. They obviously have a range of what they need depending on the property. Some are very intense and require you to complete a lot of interactions on all three shifts. Sometimes, they try to squeeze two days of work into one. The easier ones are one-shift jobs. It's not usually a job that you can do and go to work the next day. You'll need time to rest and write it up.
I won't work for them. Signing up for their payment is also very difficult and frequently doesn’t work. The same is true when they try to pay through this system. They do not use PayPal. I see the word HS on a mystery shop and I just pass it by no matter how good the pay may be. Terrible company
This thread contains an inordinate number of relevant and concise comments. I have been contracted with the MSC for 18+ yrs.; they fit my personality to a tee. I do respect, though, they are not for all, especially Ipsolites.

They pay by PayPal. You might be confusing them with BARE who pays by Tipalti?
Did a job for them paid on day 62 as agreed to.
