@salisburync That does sound very odd. If they are requesting proof from a recent visit to the pharmacy, then they should ask for a screen shot of just that from recent transactions from the credit card you used and not a statement. It is too soon to be on a statement.
When you go to Presto, do you get a message saying you have to provide more info on a shop? If it is legit, you should see a message like that.
What was the a problem with the receipt? To back up @Cassiespark, I had something similar happen when I visited a 24 hour gas station at sunset (during shoppable hours) and the fuel dispenser did not issue a receipt. When I went to the C-store, it was locked and I knocked on the door and waited 5 minutes, but there was no staff and no sign that they were temporarily closed. I took a picture of the door showing it locked, the pump showing the gas purchase and included a picture of the pump reading the cashier has the receipt. The editor emailed me back and asked for a screen shot showing that amount from my transactions that would show the date, the gas station name, and address and just that -- no cc #.
In your reply, I would BCC someone else at the big co. with just a snippet of that transaction and no others and not the cc. I might include the very last single digit of the credit card.
If this is for the credit card job, then I am back to the hate part of the love/hate feelings I have for this task.
