Yes. I’ve flown with them in the past
Delaware has the shop as well. It's the state linked in the email I was sent.

M.REED, how was your experience when you did the shop?
I’ve never had a bad experience with the evaluation. The only difficulty is with cancelled flights or delays on the airline’s end... in which case you’d need to communicate to the company why you weren’t on your scheduled flight at your scheduled time. The company is familiar with this process, so they’re very flexible and willing to adjust what’s needed, it’s just a matter of having to go in and explain what’s going on - on top of dealing with the delay itself..

My client that I travel for can't get his act together this month so I don't have my trip scheduled yet. Should happen Thursday but I doubt I'll get a shop that "late" in the month.
Still put in your request ... they’ve added another requirement which, I’m assuming, many people most likely won’t qualify for... this might free up their availability, which will increase your chances of getting a flight! (Fingers Crossed)

Do you all just take the flights just the same as a regular shop or do you actually have somewhere to go?

What do you do? (If you don’t mind me asking)
I got the email posting for the shops. It's just so darned hot there is nowhere in the continental US i want to go where the shop fee will cover the entire ticket price. Not to mention I have a lot of work booked for July and can't really just fly off somewhere right now. Drats, if the fee would cover it and I had time, I would go to Palo Alto to visit my oldest sister..

I only take them when I actually have somewhere to go.

I'm still not positive when the travel will be so I have to wait.
I'd only do a report if i wanted to travel , and can never get the times right...I'll be traveling to Midway (Southwest) the end of Aug., but of course no flights then and I had to get my ticket. I don't know how anyone gets this to work. I book far ahead and tickets are quite inexpensive, got a ticket going out for 90.00 and return 150.00, of course departing stops off in Vegas, to change planes, return is non stop. that's fine with me. More power to those that make it work.

What's the new requirement?

You’re now required to travel over 500 miles each leg.. which is almost across the country..

I know Chicago to Cleveland is just over 300 so 500 really isnt that hard to get and definitely not cross country.

Each case will be different. I was actually referring to my situation.. I’d need to fly across the country to qualify..

I have to assume you're in the US since these shops are us only and distance isn't conditional. I get that you may not want to go somewhere just over 500 miles but there's no reason you would need to.

For some of us, It’s not a matter of where we “want” to go but where we’re assigned for that month. As I said, each situation will be different.. Did you put in a request for July?

Lol 500 miles isn't 'almost across the country.' For me, that's about a state each way. You must be on the east coast.....

Very infrequently shopping the Greater Denver Area, Colorado Springs and in-between in Colorado these days.
They had jobs at Midway for July, but none for Aug. 400 miles from So.CA to No.CA, so guess I'm out needing 500....totally not working.

Did anyone get an approval to fly today?
SQM is an MSC (mystery shopping company)--Sensors Quality Management, based in Canada. MSC-X is a generic reference, like saying Contestant A, Contestant B, etc.

No. Distance is not relative. The country has particular borders; they don't move except minutely as the Earth expands and contracts and as climate change raises the sea level. In the least, flying across the country means from the Atlantic Coast to the Pacific Coast. JFK-SFO, a common route across the country, is 2586 mi. A purest might observe that one truly crosses the country by flying STT-GUM which is 9445 mi. Either way, if one is only flying 500 mi one is not flying across the country no matter where one lives. Unless the country involved is other than the United States.
So after all this dialogue, still no other companies?

I did not get approved for a July shop but I know someone who did. I was asked to resend in my proposal for July on the 2nd but haven't received any further follow up.

They’re full
I did receive an email today just like you did. However, not sure why you said they're when I fully acknowledged that I wasn't assigned a shop for July.
