I didn't do it because the reimbursement didn't completely cover the cost of the flight with the airline they were evaluating.

At the end of last year they were offering flight reimbursement of up to $300 to evaluate credit card offerings.

Where are you flying to nationally that cost more than $900? Unless you fly first class strictly, it's still a good deal.

But I never said it was $900!!!! I posted that the total reimbursement was $300. That didn't cover a round trip ticket.

Right. I was only pointing out that eyelove2shop was incorrect in suggesting that $900 was out of line for domestic, coach tickets. I would never pay that amount, but many people do.

$900 is not at all out-of-line for a trip in the back of the plane if one does not meet restrictions for excursion fares - e.g. if one does not have sufficient advanced notice or is not staying over a weekend or if one simply can't find the seat inventory.

But when I corresponded with the scheduler, that wasn't the case. I was told regardless of whether I flew somewhere and had to come back, my total reimbursement would only be up to $300. So I could go to my brother's in Houston but if I wanted to come home I had to pay for it myself.
