Advantage Research pays slow or not at all. Do not confuse with ASM (Advantage Sales & Marketing), which is a good employer.

Great idea! I was thinking about starting this myself.

The only shop that I have ever had an issue was Checkmark. I don't know if they are still in business. It was 2006, and they were having issues. They sent out bad checks. They did however eventually send out new checks to cover the problem. It took a long time to resolve.
denisebell, please feel free to yell at Castforce all you want. Meanwhile, we would appreciate you NOT yelling at all of us.

There is also a thread regarding the three worst companies. While opinions on many vary, there are several references to companies that do not pay or take a lot of prodding. It is a good read and I recommend it. Most questions like this can be answered with just a bit of searching.

HDE, never ever work for them because the do not pay. I did a phone shop last July 7th for $8 and have not been paid. After numerous emails with no response they posted on my shop of that I was paid on 12/31/11, but of course I have not received that payment. This company sucks!
I've not had any problems w/HDE. As you kow, waiting until the end-of-the-month, they'll often offee a fee AND reimbursement.

Was Franchise Compliance noted?

I would so enjoy shoppers from TX, GA, FL, CA to sign-up for a shop and then 'flake'. The CHEM-DRY carpet cleaning shops are now offered at $225!

You'll get paid on the 12th...of NEVER.

CHEM-DRY must have a regional office/HDQtrs somewhere. I think I need to put my detective coat on. If FC is paying someone to do a shop for $225, the company have to paying FC at least $2000.

I wonder if the CHEN-DRY company asked FC, "why are you charging us so much. We use to pay $100."

Thanks for the heads up, I just applied for that one, if it comes through I will turn it down.
I just cancelled a Chem-Dry shop yesterday based on this post. I apologized and let the scheduler know I cancelled because of their reputation for not paying. I hope they get the message and improve their methods.

Thanks for this!

Sincerely,

This is a good thread and helpful.
It's helping me make some decisions.....like "fool me once", you aint gonna get
a chance to fool me again.

I'm very thorough...one deduction, one report not accepted, one payment missed and I'm gone from that company.

Like the check due since February - "lost in the mail" has never shown up - over
$100. - I thought it was going to be a good company..if it doesnt show up this month I'll be telling you who it is. By the way, I was told by the scheduler my report - a looooong one - "was perfect" and I save every email !

Is there any way to get back money from Franchise Compliance? They still owe me from the August!
If you go to V-God site and search for Franchise Compliance, many posters have suggested ways to get money from FC (Seems many were successful).
I never got paid from Restaurant cops for a shop over 2 months ago now.
Hello: I have tried to be patient and understanding, and unfortunately, all of my good will has led me nowhere. Please, please, please, do not work for Service Solutions---now Service Scouts. Although I did not choose to see the warnings about this company, I am now attempting to recover the over $600.00 that is owed to me. It has been a tedious process, and at this point, I have contacted them and advise that I will be putting their "bad name and reputation" out there for others to see. Proceed with caution with this company----and regardless of what you are promised, you will not get paid. I would appreciate any suggestions anyone can provide. Thank you!!!
Franchise Compliance is the only MSC to stiff me in the 9 yrs. I've been a shopper, but it was only for a $5 phone shop.
Cirrus Marketing pays very slowly. If you forget, don't expect to ever get paid from them. It took several calls and emails for me to get paid for a shop that was completed 4 1/2 months prior. Same with Goodwin and Associates. Goodwin is awesome to work with (as far as schedulers, but something in their payroll department just isn't right.

In all honesty, I am wary of MSC's that have you submit your own invoice, ie. Cirrus.
Every time I do a shop for Goodwin I have to call them after about two months sometimes a couple times then they send payment. One time I waited 3 months to call and they said it was past the time could not get paid.

Are you kidding?! I'd be so upset. Especially because they say that pay comes betwween 60 and 90 days. That's three months. So, on day 91, you're screwed out of your pay? What a jip!

I was just paid for a job I did in early November with them, a couple of weeks ago. I did have ot contact them. Now that I know your situation, I wont wait so long to contact them next time. Yeesh.
I worked for CASTFORCE and have not been paid...every reason in the world.
They have problem with their reporting portal...(yeah right) your pictures were not good enough....excuse after excuse...Never get a call back....save rself the agony and don't work for CASTFORCE
boosting - this thread is definitely worth keeping up top. smiling smiley
Goodwin, finally got paid for all my shops at once, some dating back to October and the most recent in February, and they in the same town I reside! They did apologize when I sent an email reminding them I laid out the funds and submitted the paperwork in a timely manner.

Freeman must be good at losing the invoices. They requested I resubmit so I could wait another 5 months
I have been doing this work for some 4 years now and I have never been so disrespected or pissed off by a company than this one. I have done 9 shops for them from 3-3-12 and have not seen a penny. I have 9's and 10's and have always been on time with them. I wrote to ask what was going on and she told me she was training for new projects. Well, if you don't pay the people that you owe you will never get people for new projects at least, not experienced ones. I'm just about ready to complain to every attorney general, city attorney, BBB, blogger, tweeter, and the average Joe on the street if they don't pay me. They threaten you with their 3 strikes BS and yet they don't fulfil their own obligations. I'm at my wits end since the nine jobs total about $1000.00 in my expenses and their payments. They are messing with the wrong boy.

Sue them in small claims court. Believe me, that will get their attention. And if they are stupid enough to not show up on court date, you will get a default judgement. Then if they still don't pay, you can seize their corporate assets for a 'sheriff's sale' to satisfy the judgement. THAT will get their attention and you will get paid.
Years ago my claim was for $35 my employer refused to pay me. After court costs, etc. they ended up paying me $440.00. If you're suing a corporation, you really have a lot of leverage! Small claims works and if you win you will usually get judgement for your filing fees also.
I did a search today on Adam Valdez, owner of Franchise Compliance. Look what popped up:

There is a cell phone number listed there too. I am calling him. He owes me $218.33 for a carpet cleaning job from January. I am filling out my wage claim form wiith the Utah Labor Commission and also the Utah Division of Consumer Protection. Good luck to everyone else he owes money to.
Adding Freemangroup Solutions to this list - they are very, Very, VERY LATE! They also try their best to ignore any emails you write in reminding them of the pending payment.
Hello Doris,

Are you sure that you mean Service Scouts (www.servicescouts.com)? I have looked your email up in our database and your email address does not show up as ever being a shopper for us. If you would please provide the documentation (shop information) regarding the $600.00 you state that Service Scouts (formerly Service Solutions, Inc.) owes you, I will be very happy to investigate the matter.

Regarding Franchise Compliance, I filed my claim with the Utah Labor Commission and they have opened a case for me and assigned an investigator. Anyone who is owed money should file a claim with the ULC.
