Does anyone know any mystery shop companies that do Golf Mystery Shops?

I get emails from one of the scheduling companies from time to time. I don't know who the company is that is performing the shops, but it seems to me it is Kern trying to schedule them.

I got an email from Customer Service Experts about golf shops, too. They currently have available shops in VA and FL.

Be careful with those unless you're comfortable with having quite a bit of your money hanging out there waiting for reimbursement.

The ones I've seen require greens and cart fees for two. Purchase from the beverage cart, sometimes a purchase from the pro shop and either lunch or dinner at the clubhouse. So it can get up there. I think Intellishop had them in my area but I haven't seen one in a while. It was for a management company that operated private courses.

I did a mystery shop at a golf course in another state. It was 350 miles away from my home. I stayed over at a hotel as it was too long a trip to drive back after golf. Can I claim the hotel as a mystery shop expense on my Schedule C?

I do golf shops in the Cincinnati and Dayton,OH areas and I havem not had to wait more that 15 days to be repaid for money I put out and the fee for doing the shop. Here's what you will put out cost of round and cart, balls to hit on their driving range, $10.00 to buy something at the Proshop, $10.00 for food at their grill and $5.00 for the beverage cart that comes around. Plus they pay you $30.00 for the shop. I love to play golf so this makes it completely worthwhile for me. The trouble is you can only play the course every 60 days.
