Ipsos still doing shops?

I haven't seen any shops on Ipsos Sassie site for a few weeks now. Anyone know what's up with them? Hope they didn't just go away...

They are still doing shops, but the pickings have been a little slim in my area. If it wasn't for fast food, there would be none here either.
I just did a few earlier today that were pre-holiday leftovers. Hopefully, things will ramp back up again in January.

Just got home from knocking out a route of 9 conditional reveal gas stations at $100 each + reimbursement. My biggest day as a shopper ever, even before factoring in the car wash to end the trip.

Had to do a pretty broad search to find them. The 9th one showed up because I put in the 999 max radius just for grins and SASSIE thought this one was 600 miles away from me when it was only 160.

I just cleaned up the last of both of the red/blue gas station shops for the quarter, all with decent or better bonuses. January is typically a skimpy month because everything is at base pay and everything is just starting a new quarter, and Ipsos doesn't restart all of them all at once. Ipsos is NOT going out of business, no matter whether it would be better for the industry if they did.

No, they are done for 2023. They’ll roll out shops for next year probably within the next few days or so.

With their brutal communication methods, they hinted at that with their “2023 wrapped” email.

Not quite. I'm seeing 8 different projects for 7 different vendors still with open locations when I do an expanded search.

The quick lube project does not appear to be going well, with more open locations than their fast food clients.

I've done the quick lubes before, but they do require getting covert photos in what can be close quarters.

Usually the employees are ok with getting pics of pricing info, but grabbing shots of promo materials can take time depending on staffing levels.

Here's hoping a bunch roll over to next year... I've got to start planning travel to Southern California for a convention and want to bookend the trip with shops all the way down and all the way back home.

I have only one shop show up. It had a $29 bonus, so I took it.
Yes, the revealed quick lubes have lingered, from what I see, and there are some recently posted home improvement shops that have not been taken yet.
The QLs on my board are covert.

And they just posted a bunch of tech shops for the 1st week of 2024, not that I give a damn about those.

They are still very much in the biz...

They just rolled out the Electronic Mystery Shops starting January 1st.
I see IPSOS shops posted, but nothing motivating me to action lately. Does anyone have experience with IPSOS paid surveys/focus groups (IPSOS say)? I assume they are related.
Their surveys are unbelievably low paying and there are a zillion internet complaints about not getting paid after doing the work to complete them. i think you can find better ways to make $5!

Zillions? Even if that were a real number I would dispute your claim.

The company is the fastest pay in the biz, and they adhere to a regular pay schedule most of the time. Payments may be a couple of days late every now and then, but they've never been withheld in my experience (almost 600 jobs).

As for low-paying surveys, I would argue that point as well.

I just completed 9 gas stations that paid $900 + the reimbursement. Took a little more than 4 hours of work including filing the reports. I'll take that kind of low pay every day of the week.

I think Cassiespark was referring to the Ipsos Isay surveys, which are an entirely different thing from mystery shopping. She's spot-on about it; if you want to join a survey panel, there are better, more lucrative ones than Ipsos Isay.

I was responding to the question about IPSOS ISAY survey panels, which are separate from their mystery shopping business. I was commenting on that (surveys) and you are commenting on mystery shopping. Totally separate. If helpful:

Details are helpful...eh? smiling smiley
