ACL Hotel Shops

I read the guidelines, and I don’t see it mentioned, but before I go to the scheduler (I’m not assigned it yet), are we able to use our hotel loyalty # and earn the perks associated with it?

This is for the hotel shops that ACL offers in the Northern NJ area.

For every resort hotel that I have done, and I've done a lot of them, the answer is YES. I only shopped one resort for ACL though, because it did not pay enough to cover the reimbursement allowances and job fee was not enough for the work involved.

Thanks, I’m looking at it as a way to get a milestone point bonus, but it does appear to be significant work.
Double check with the scheduler though! Some of their shops you can. It's not even by brand. It's by franchise! Some of them you cannot. I quit doing the ones that didn't allow me to keep the rewards points/stay credit is that was the only reason I was doing them.

Their hotel shops do tend to be a lot of work, heavy on the narrative, and no pay. However, I've taken them now and then to help fund my travel when my feet get itchy. I never seem to have a good handle on their thing with the points though. I ended up telling one a while back not to fool with the points, because that is what it said in the guidelines. It was an odd interaction. When it gets to such, I wonder how anonymous you can really expect to be. However, as long as they get the information they want out of the shop, I am not outed, and I'm covered on the reimbursement, I'm fine. I like their shops.

I have somehow never seen a hotel shop on there. Are they filtered out for less experienced shoppers on their platform?
There does not seem to have a whole lot of them. Also, they are not consistently available, just a little something every now and then.

@dellotune:

The number of hotel shops in this area is pretty limited, but they show up every once in a while. Try playing around with your search area and see if you can see any that are outside of your area. For example, put in zip code 15219 and you should see a hotel shop for Pittsburgh.

I don't want to register with them just to find this out: are there shops on the west coast?
