Lost Coyle Survey

Just posting because...UGH!

I have done dozens, maybe even over one hundred Coyle evals. I have it down to a science and can bang out the writeups pretty quickly after lots of practice.

I was just finishing one today... going through my last checks and somehow I accidentally clicked something that cause the page to reload. Coyle doesn't have an autosave feature built-in like other MSCs, so you either have to self-save frequently or keep another tab open and continuously log into shopmetrics to ensure you don't get the dreaded log-in screen if you click out of the survey.

For the company with the WORST narrative process and survey process, why are they seemingly the only ones without some sort of autosave feature? So much work down the drain due to my own stupidity.

Sorry to hear that.

I was duped into doing a $40 pay MEX restaurant shop last week. I was thinking, okay for $40 pay, I'll do it. I still hated every minute of doing the report. I know some people like this crap...but I think many of the questions are not even applicable and then you have to comment. Coat Check? Really? This is a Denny's type restaurant that serves mex food (okay, not as low as Denny's), but it's not a place where coat check takes place. I think there are like 200 questions and 5 commentary sections (maybe 6 or 7).

I'm thinking I don't need the $40 pay that bad for this. I didn't time this, but I know it was more than 1 hour.
So many of the questions just aren't applicable or are ridiculous. I've found that they really only care about timing, greetings/farewell messages, and if something was significantly wrong. And they want you to write it up just like their examples like a robot. Ok fine.

We're saving for a house and like to eat out, so we use this as our way to have a "free" date night and earn credit card points for vacations. I usually only do them in less busy seasons of life.

The least Coyle could do is get like the other MSCs and update their shopmetrics to autosave.
I've been burned before. I type everything into word with autosave and then copy and paste. I feel bad for you. I lost a hotel shop the same way and I thought I was going to die. Took me about an hour to get off the floor in tears in a fetal position. Not quite but close...
The Sassie platform does not autosave unless the warning to save every 20 minutes counts as autosave. Not in my book.

Did you try a Cntrl-Z to see if you could recover it? Not sure if I've ever had to do that for a MSC report, but it sometimes works when you've made a boo-boo like that. Sorry that happened. It's so frustrating!

I learn something new every day, but not everyday!
I've learned to never trust spell-check or my phone's auto-fill feature.
I've lost hotel narratives on sassie; it's not just shopmetrics.

Been there, done that! All of you have my sympathies!

May I suggest adding a form recovery extension to your browsers? I use Chrome for MS and there are many extensions available. Typio Form Recovery is one of them.

Honestly, I think they hate us and like finding new ways to make our lives miserable. Can anyone tell me I'm wrong?
