I agree. The shops are always there weekly. Nothing.
All I see in my area are the audits and mystery shops in the office supply and/or big box stores.
Be grateful! All I'm getting is those darn package verification delivery shops which I won't touch with the 20-foot pool and a bunch of inspections that are not even close. I'm talking minimum 90 mi. I'm not even responding to those.
I am willing to try one package verification delivery shop, if it is still open when I am in town long enough to do it. There may be an issue of eligibility, and I need to inquire about a possible conflict of interest. I already know that I work for the owner of the building, but in a different sort of job and in a different building that houses other sorts of offices. Does this make me ineligible? We will see.....

Earlier today, I found some available grocery stores, mostly in another state. I did not have time to pick them up today, but I am willing to try that tomorrow/Sunday/Monday.

Does anyone know what company got their grocery shops? I was hoping to find out in the list.
I just signed up with this MSC--not sure why it took so long for me to do so, but I see that they have some restaurant clients I've been looking for! The application process was easy, and I've submitted my writing sample, so I hope I'll be considered for their narrative-heavy shops, which apparently pay more.

I have a question about their fees. They have a lot of inspection-type shops near me, some of which I'm pretty interested in. What I don't understand is that they give a fee range for some. How does that work? I haven't applied for any jobs, so maybe this is clarified once you're assigned? I think I saw one that said the fee is between $14 and $18; I'm not applying for a job before I know how much it pays!

I learn something new every day, but not everyday!
I've learned to never trust spell-check or my phone's auto-fill feature.

It's not a Sassie, Metrics or Prophet company. It's an independent one., the one that does the Sam's clubs. Hopefully, that will narrow down your search.
Thanks for the response to Froyo. Lol I never did any of the Sams club since those are no where near me. I guess tonight will have homework. I lost Kroger and Food City at the same time.
I think when you click on "More Info" it shows the fee for that particular project. I kind of like doing these, but they need to be right in my backyard or be highly bonused to be worth it. These jobs have become very few and far between in my area. When they contact me to help with one, it's usually a couple hours away for a ridiculously low PAD. VERY rarely they have paid me a nice bonus when they were in a bind.
For those who have already proven themselves doing shops for the MSC, the MSC should strongly consider covering the cost of their required background check for their other shops.

Food City is still being shopped. Same MSC that has the steakhouse that everybody posts about.

It is a business expense that the shopper could potentially expense against their income.
Good point. It just goes against the concepts of a shopper not paying for the possibility of being assigned a shop and a company being responsible for ordering and paying for a background check.

If they need someone bad enough, they'll reimburse the background check. They paid for mine.
That's awesome. Details please.

My background check was expired when the scheduler reached out to me to ask if I would update it and help with a project. When I politely said that I do so few of them (for my reasons above) that it wouldn't justify my expense, they offered reimbursement. I did the three year version.
Trendsource was kind enough to send an email about a month before they lost the grocery client. TS even mentioned the specific company that would be taking over in February 2022 so we could sign up as a shopper. I have done hundreds of these shops and am continuing with the new company. Haven't completed one yet, but there is no app on which to file reports. Fortunately I have worked for the new company for years and have their highest rating. Unfortunately out of respect for competitor shopper's I won't list the company info. TS shoppers could and should have read this important notice about the change. BTW, I though the email I received from TS reflected the high class of TS despite losing probably its biggest client. The loss had to hurt, but still they sent out a notice so we all could know the new company which has the Kroger gig. I would have known anyway as a shopper for the new company, but the extra consideration is unusual (to say the least) in this business. Thanks TS!
Smartshop - the new MSC for this client does have an app. I haven't used it because I prefer to enter reports on my PC and we no longer have the 2 hour deadline.

Yes they do have an app but it's not the name of the MSC.
@smartshop, I too greatly appreciated TS being willing to divulge the name of the new MSC. It showed a lot of class on their part, and I would not hesitate to work for them in the future. They did an excellent job working with me on over a hundred grocery shops. Emmanuel was a great scheduler. I've signed up for some shops with the new MSC but haven't completed them yetsmiling smiley
I never receive any emails from TS unless there is an issue with a project or offers for jobs. This has been going for two years. Would it possible for you to send me a copy of the letter? Kfoxx30@gmail.com thanks!!
Thanks, but i aware of the app
I was trying to say it ism"t very useful in submitting reports.

Why was the app not useful?
Very difficult to submit reports from it.
Does this happen all the time for you? For me, the situation is that for Kroger shops, the app worked like a dream. Recently, I was unable to complete a shop on the app. A scheduler responded to my concerns quickly and explained that TS had made some changes recently and this might have caused some issues with submitting reports on the app. I would suggest contacting the company and giving them at least one more try. They are responsive, helpful, and courteous.

Until recently the app was fantastic
The lastest issues I experienced actrd like connectovity issues. But i don't think it wss. Turning off wifi and using 6G didn't se to help when there were issues.
But in my initial reply i was referring to the app of the new MSC which now has the grocery shops
