Regional companies

Hello all. I have been a mystery shopper for quite sometime, but took a break due to some personal issues. I want to get back into it and add some companies to my portfolio. The list on this forum is a huge help. How would I go about finding out which companies are specific to my region (Midwest)? Or, do I just sign up for everything?

There are very few (any?) MSCs which are region specific. Most MSCs will take on clients no matter where they may be (at least those clients in the US). Why would any MSC turn away business simply because it is across country?
You just have to register with as many companies as you can. In the last 6 years of doing this, I have just worked for many companies one time. It seems just to be a matter of timing on getting one that does your area.
In addition to the good advice of signing up with more and ever more MSCs, you might try the aggregated job boards. For example, JobSlinger is free and lets you conduct searches for specific areas. They will not show you all available shops because all MSC's do not post their assignments there. Nonetheless, you might pick up some gigs in designated areas, once in awhile. If you see a new or familiar MSC, so be it.

Presto and ISecretShop are two others that aggregate jobs and there is another aggregator, Gigspot, that I didn't like the app so I cancelled and went back to using using the MSCs website.
