Be aware their website is flaky today because it is undergoing maintenance. I don't know how I managed to get my 'usual' user name, but I did and changed the password to my 'usual' MSing password. My SO signed up and he has some noxious 12 character mess of numbers and letters that we have written down in about 4 places so he can find it (he deleted the sign up email that sent it to him).
Don't know if you saw the previous thread on this, but the houses are unheated in the winter, the toilets are sealed and filled with antifreeze, and there's no electricity. You are in NJ, no?
I did one on Sunday where the departing owner had taken everything they could detach. No hardware on the doors, most of the kitchen cabinets gone, appliances of course gone, nothing left of the heat/ac system except the ductwork, hot water heater probably got dropped as they went to take it out because it was there and bent up, breakers removed from the electrical panel, all lighting fixtures removed leaving bare wires hanging, carpeting and even the hooks for curtains gone, nothing left of the pool pump and filtration equipment and even the toilets had been taken. Outside there were a number of holes where they had dug up plantings and what apparently had been a lattice covered area just had the uprights left. I was surprised they left the faucets. It wasn't a bad house to start with and the basic structure is still sound, but it will cost a bundle to get it put back together again.

My significant other had one on Sunday that still had furniture in it. The electricity and water were on and there was beer, soda, water and fresh food in the fridge. There were three outside sheds, two of which the keys he had opened but the third he couldn't. There was a note in the listing materials that it would be the obligation of the buyer to have the squatters evicted . . .

That first one sounds more like it was vandalized.
No sign of forced entry. Everything just neatly detached and removed. When a neighbor visited the house during open house she mentioned that the former owners had carefully removed the entire fence around the property and loaded it up and taken it away. She was not surprised that everything inside was gone, though indicated she didn't see them loading it and hauling it away, though they did park their truck backed into the garage and often left with the back covered with a tarp. She had no idea they were moving until they were gone.
Cleaning up some bookmarked sites and got to Pinkerton. I was never able to find housesitting here, or maybe I didn't know how to search their site. Anyone still work for them? Confusing posts on another forum seems to indicate they are Global Compliance, which is SI's parent company, right? I can still log-in to the PC site, just don't find work.
I have done a few shops for Global Compliance, but they were strictly traditional mystery shops.

I still watch Pinkerton though for October they have nothing in my area at all. It is a rather primitive site. It does not work with Firefox so needs to have IE used.

The search does not work at all with Firefox. IE was just the ticket. Thank yousmiling smiley
Good.

As to the Global Compliance issue, not likely. And if they DID get sold off I figure those of us who shop for them regularly would have gotten some notice.
