Measure Consumer Perspectives

I did the Smartphone shop early last week, and it was approved for payment before the end of last week.

Not sure what shop you did for them, but I assume it's the same 5-month (5 shops) program, where you just get reimbursed the first month and then the pay increases over the next 4 months so you actually get "paid." Unfortunately, I'm on my second month and I'm supposed to get paid $10 plus reimbursement (even the confirmation email clearly states the payment amounts) but the scheduler told me that she was sorry and I'm not getting paid except for the reimursement. She said it was an error by the company and now they're not honoring it apparently. WTF?

Good luck with the second month, but you might want to make sure they're not screwing you.
This was sent out by MCP this very morning:

You have to read the actual shop info. The $75 payment is the total payment for completing all the shops, and is in addition to the reimbursements. It's $0 payment for the first shop, but most of the pay is allocated to the later months... probably to encourage/reward people to stick with the shop.

I have done a couple of shops for them and they have been wonderful, I just wish they had more in my area.
I posted this on another thread already, but there are two emails going out for those phone shops. One is sent by the company and it says the payment is $75 plus reimbursement after the fifth month is completed (5 shops total). The other email (I got one this morning) is from KSS and says that it pays an escalating payment amount each month (still adds to $75 but is broken up monthly).

Of course, I'm still trying to get mine resolved, as my MCP scheduler said my email was an error and not only will I not be paid the $75 at the end of the 5 months, but that they will be paying nothing (just the reimbursement). The scheduler seems nice enough, but seems like she's right out of college and doesn't really seem to know much about customer service herself...ironic given the industry they are in...

Hopefully it gets resolved by someone who can understand the situation...
Two MCP representatives posted in the other thread. It may be productive for you to PM either of them.
