Arch LUNCH shops dropped to $6.50?

It looks like the MSC that's a force in the mystery shopping market is dropping the Arches lunch shop fee by a buck to $6.50. (Just like they dropped the burger quintet by a buck to $6 for lunch last month.) They just posted the August shops, and I'm seeing the lunch shops at $6.50. The breakfast and dinner shops are still at $7.50 (Except for the leftover July shops that are bonused.)

They drop fees every summer, at least they have for the last three or four years. Apparently it has not impacted their ability to get the jobs filled.

Equal rights for others does not mean fewer rights for you. It's not pie.

Do the fees go back after the summer is over or is this a permanent drop (provided that they can still fill the shops)? TIA

I've been shopping them since 2009 and I've never seen the Arches for less than the $7.50 that they start at every month.
They drop fees on various jobs, not necessarily all of them. $7.50 was already low for what amounts to two shops. It just seems summer is their preferred time of year so they may have a glut of shoppers when school is out. And no, I've never seen them return to the previous fees.

The ones around here were just posted at $7.50

Even the LUNCH shops?
They also might be floating lower fees in specific areas where the shops rarely or never have to have a bonus.

Actually, some of the lunch shops are coming up at $7.50 and some at $6.50.

That's odd.
I have been shopping the Arches since 06 and have never seen one less than $7.50. I did see lunch shops for August post at $6.50. These are indeed shops that rarely get a bonus.

Looking to take millions from newbies!! Im sure they will be gobbled up right along with the fries!
Just checked and there are no lunch shop listed at all for me???
Dropped to $6.50 here, too. I usually use those shops to fill out a route, but I plan to skip them until the fee gets more rational.

No fee, no shop.
Yep, around here all the lunchtime fees for both shops dropped. This is new out here. The one shop has always been $7.50, the other $7 (except for late-night shops).

I laughed when I saw that some of the shops are trumpeting "CHANGED FEE!"

NOTE: I'm not on the forum every day. If someone comments on my post, I might not reply right away. I've been a shopper since 1991. I've never done any work for a MS company in any other capacity.
"Changed Fee!" lol..smiling smiley

Okay, I saw one today and it was newly listed and went for $7.50.

Which is not to say, that the NEWer "new" ones, coming out in the next round, might be lower.....
And bragging about a "Changed Fee"!!!

lol.......
They also changed the gas stations to $9? I thougt they were too low when I first did one at $12. I consider them at $20, or willing to travel for more. In the past, have been good to me. But the lowering of priced shops, I don't really need. When you need someone good to do them, I will be happy to do so (at a more appropriate fee).
I just did a different dine-in soup/salad/sandwich shop for them - not because the fee was huge, but because I like the hopefully-healthier food and the location was close. I had not seen those shops with them before, and thought the reimbursement looked low (no pricing on the restaurant website). It was - almost a dollar less than the bare minimum required, before adding a drink or the possible add-ons. And the fee was already less than the greasy burger places.

Don't get me wrong - the food was good, and I feel much better about what I ate, but there is something wrong when there is no possibility that the reimbursement will cover the minimum requirement on a 1-person, fast casual shop. There were absolutely no cheaper options that I could have selected.
I queried MF and got this:

"Please note that we periodically evaluate all our projects and review them across the board. Because of this, fees are adjusted (raised or lower) after the evaluation of that particular project."

Why they included the word "raised" is anyone's guess. When was the last time anyone saw them raise the fee other than a temporary bonus?

This morning, the August shops for $6.50 and $7.50 are all gone. I was just curious if anyone else sees them in their area. I would be surprised if they were taken already.

All the August shops are still showing here, although only the closest shops to my home zip code are showing. The outlying shops aren't showing, but they usually don't show until later in the month.
A few of the $7.50 jobs have been taken. The $6.50 shops are sitting on the board here. With the overload of shoppers in this area, I'm sure they will be taken.
In my area, the $6.50 shops are those inside the supercenters.

I see some of the 4 + 1 burger shops had a message that said, "Great for new shoppers!" Yeah, they're counting on people who don't know any better to do these shops for less money.
Actually, the lunch shops are usually the first to be scheduled. Shoppers typically take these figuring "well, I gotta eat anyway." They are counting on shoppers - even those who know better - who want lunch to take them anyway figuring it's only a dollar. And if shoppers do take them at $6.50 it will be a big windfall for the MSC _........,,$1 x how many total shops .......and guess what the new payment will become.
Lunch shops were posted at $6.50 in my area and there's only one or two left on the board, I'm sad to say.
Some of the FG shops have dropped from $7 to $6. I'm not happy.

Robinv
Still $7.50 across the board in my area. Which I never have and never will take. Most of them end up getting bonused pretty quickly here. I can't believe anyone would want those shops at $7.50, let alone $6.50.
