Pretty Much OVER Service Excellence Group

I only take their shops when I need the service, anyway, because I've noticed how lengthy the write ups are. I usually score at 8 or 9/10...But, recently, I was marked so LOW that I was upset. A 6/10 score because of 1 spelling error (em, instead of me...sorry your spell checker didn't catch it!) and the employee was not wearing a name tag the first time, but a necklace with the name and then was wearing a nametag on my return...There were two spellings. I contacted them and told them that the employee had two spellings, not me. They didn't change my score OR change my feedback. How is that MY fault?
They require TOO LONG of a narrative and offer TOO LOW of pay. Seriously, the write ups for them can take 45 mins+ and then adding in the time to do the shop...Jeeze! It averages out to less than $4/hour. NOT WORTH IT ANYMORE.

I don't think I've ever done a Service Excellence shop before. I probably would have taken the spelling on her nametag over her necklace. Good to know they're not worth it though, I won't consider them in the future. I don't work for $4 an hour!
I'm sorry that the OP had a bad experiece with them and that she received low grades. It sounds as though their jobs are not worth it to her, but you might not want to write them off because one poster is over them, jp. I don't work for $4 an hour either, but I do work for them. I'm selective about which jobs I take and I take only those that are worth it to me. I would not call their pay high but it is reasonable. I don't find the writing requirements to be overwhelming and they seem to be easy graders to me.....I've never gotten less than a 9 and have done many reports. They pay fast - between 10 days and 30 days......depends on the day of the month a shop is completed. A shop completed before the 10th of the month will be paid the same month on the 21st.
Sorry, don't blame the spellcheck. Blame the fact that you did not proofread. Spellcheckers won't catch a mistake if the word that's spelled wrong happens to be another word.
Over Service Excellence Group? I don't think the OP will ever be over Service Excellence Group!
On the plus side, I did a shop for Service Excellence Group on July 14th and today, July 19th, I received $56 in my PayPal. That includes the reimbursement. The report was easy as pie. That was my third shop with them. Like AustinMom, I am very picky about what job I take.

I am sorry that the OP had a bad experience with them.
They are very detailed in what they want for a narrative but once I knew that, I remembered to address every question in the narrative and I have not had an issue with them since. They pay quickly and I will continue to work for them.
Melly: I don't know how long you have been shopping but the "best" shoppers take responsibility for their own actions smiling smiley
How is the report for their camping/ outdoor chain store which pays $18.00????

Thanks Much
I was just assigned one of the outdoor chain stores. Pay is low for a purchase/return but I'll be in the shopping center anyway for other shops. I thought I would try one shop for them and see how it goes. I've been trying to get the candy shop assignment, but it never gets assigned to me. Maybe after this shop, I'll get a candy shop.
They haven't had much in my area, but I did about 8 shops for them over the years, and just updated my profile.
I got 9/10 on all reports and nice notes thanking me for a job well done, with one saying, don't forget to write names
into report....still got a 9/10. I can think of tougher companies, just ask.

Live consciously....
Well, I won't be doing that outdoor/camping shop again. I got an email that the shop had been assigned to another shopper. Days later, I got the assignment. When I emailed the scheduler, I was told the other shopper "flaked." Love it when they use that term. I had 7 other shops and would be in the shopping center, so I took the shop last minute since the deadline was that day. Try to help a scheduler out, but clearly the editor didn't like my report. I got a 7 but reamed about it. As you all know, sometimes it's virtually impossible to squeeze morsels of wisdom and knowledge from a young, part-time sales person and magically write a fairy tale narrative. You do your best. And yet, I have to make a trip back to the store to return the item that I was required to purchase with no reimbursement. No wonder the other shopper "flaked."
