I did not search FL - I searched near my IL home BUT when I did the regular search they did not come up; they only came up once I put in the nearby big city (less than 20 miles away) and 200 miles and then all of the ones in my area came up.

Yup...I did the 200 mile search as well, and saw a bunch.

So.......... the report has 26 questions. It is a DT with timing. No narrative. Easy report. Free meal with no fee. ..........hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmmmm

Why the smartphone or Android? Do they want the report after the food pickup or ASAP away from the establishment? Free food is never free if you have to wait for reimbursement.

"How many cars were ahead of you? Was the order speaker lit when the cashier spoke to you? Did she greet you? Could you understand her? Did you have to repeat yourself? Was she ready to take your money? If it took more than 7 minutes, why so long? Was the cashier smiling when they presented your food? Did the cashier have on a nametag? Did she count back your change? Was your food hot? /Was it fresh? Did you get what you ordered...was anything missing? Did the cashier upsell you? If you answer NO, to any of these questions, "ARE You Sure?" And you think it is a "little deceptive".

Wow, it sounds like the Clown shop. Except for the walk through and restroom. And instead of 7 and 14, We are offered on up to 9, depending on your geographical location.

26 questions, No biggy. Sign me up.......oh wait, I don't have a smartphonegrinning smileygrinning smileygrinning smiley

If you have been passed-over for the Clown shop you probably really don't want to do the King shops.sad smileysad smileysmiling smileysmiling smileysad smileysad smiley
You have to be able to email timings to yourself from a smartphone app and then do a copy/paste in the report later. Only one of these showed up in my area, even with the 200 mile radius search.

I just got an email back fro the Help Desk. Souuosedly the issue has been resolved. I'm going to do it again
You must like those whoppers alot if your willing to mystery shop that joint for the price of a full belly!
What type of smart phone app? I can't figure this one out.

That sounds like a lot of trouble - I am sure once I figured out how to do it I could handle it but why all the extra steps.

The assignment is concentrating on timings. Those are supposed to be noted with a stopwatch app.

Thanks Shopgal, I'm wondering if the requirement will change since many types of phones have a stop watch feature.

They are recommending two specific apps, but also state that you may use an app you already like if it will record multiple lap times and if you can email those timings to yourself.

Mine has the lap function. It is requiring the shopper to e-mail to themselves that doesn't make a lot of sense. I can time, completely close out the app and when it is reopened the previous times are still there. Much quicker and easier than e-mailing.

They want you to copy and paste the reported lap times into the report.

My old flip-phone has a reliable stopwatch with lap timing ~ I use it *all* the time for shops requiring timings!

Practitioner of the Nerdly Arts.
My phone has a stopwatch that I use for all my timings as well. However, it is not a smart phone. So will dumb phones not work for this project?
The phone has to have a stopwatch app that will allow the shopper to email the timing history as a file. That file will be copied and pasted into the report. It has to look something like the format below...

Timing Data
Timing Description: Start Time: Feb 12, 2013 9:14:42 AM
Total Time: 00:06'17"7
3 Laps
Lap Description: Lap 3... <Stopped>
Lap Time: 00:00'50"1
Lap Total Time: 00:06'17"6
Lap Description: Lap 2... <Stopped>
Lap Time: 00:03'46"4
Lap Total Time: 00:05'27"4
Lap Description: Lap 1...
Lap Time: 00:01'40"9
Lap Total Time: 00:01'40"9

Hmmm. So even pickier than the arches, huh? At least they just accept our reporting what our lap timings were!

Yes must have been fixed on their end I suppose. At first I failed the screener too, only to try again from my smartphone the next day and all was well. I did one shop of this kind so far. More coming up this weekend.

Please note that you MUST own a smartphone to accept this assignment.
Have only seen one assignment for the new client in my area so far.

How do they know? Is it one of the screening questions?
Yep. Asking about whether you have a smartphone is one of the questions since it's a must for this assignment.
