Capital Grille

Hi all:

What is the least expensive wine by the glass there? Does anyone know. Thanks in advance.

I think prices may vary by location.

Here in CA, wine prices tend to be a bit higher, but on my last visit I had a house red for $6. It may have part of happy hour, since it was a dinner visit. I think $5 to $10 is standard for many wines by the glass....but they will almost always have a house selection for red & white that's affordable.
Yeah, I did a shop there a few months ago that required 2 glasses of wine with dinner. I am not a wine drinker so DH had the 2 glasses. It was the least expensive house red. I knew we were going over the reimbursement anyway.
The last time we ordered the Chardonnay and asked for the house brand. We were given a wine menu and I believe it was $10 per glass. My guest and I don't drink, so ordering the least expensive was important to us also.

$8-9, there is no $5. It depends also because they change their offerings.
I did the one on Wall Street in NYC. The wine starts at $12 per glass.
I did one a few months ago. I had cheap wine. I think it was around 7-8 a glass. It was gross. lol

I love their food!
The calamari appetizer is the best!!!

Can anyone tell me what MSC has Capital Grille shops? Or is that top secret information? Just wondering..and hungry!
Trishw,

Good luck getting that question answered.

I could give hints, but I don't want to be examined under the microscope.

Quite a clever hint right there!

Even knowing which msc shops this restaurant would not help a newbie. You have to prove yourself with lower end shops before you see FD and hotels with this msc. I'm just saying.....

Don't they give prices on the web-site????

I have done this one before, but when I went it was the GP, since that included wine I wasn't paying attention to the list. I figure I will be $20-25.00 in the hole.

I have shopped CG a lot and trust me, it really isn't enough to cover the entire meal, if you are not ordering at least one entree on the low to medium range.

For this MSC, I never come in close to the reimbursed budget. My husband considers it just a discounted meal. Heck, he doesn't have to do the report!
The one near me will have (or used to have) 1/2 priced glasses of wine one one night a week...Tuesday, I think. You could check their site or call them to ask.

It's good but has nothing on Fleming's.
Difficult to come out of Capital Grille at or under the reimbursement, if not impossible. It's still an awesome shop, tho!
I've done lunch there. We were within the budget--no liquor needed. Nice shop, easy report!

Thanks. I did the shop, and I came out way under budget.
