In-Touch Insight

Does anyone know anything about this MSC? I can't find any info on it here. Was just wondering if this was a subsidiairy company, or if it had once gone by another name. Thanks in advance for your help.

Shopgal - this is at least one thread on this company. That thread is titled "Intouch nightmare" and it's a couple of pages or so long. One of the forum members had a payment timing problem and couldn't seem to get it resolved. I haven't done a "search" but that might turn up more threads.

Mary Davis Nowell. Based close to Fort Worth. Shopping Interstate 20 east and west, Interstate 35 north and south.
It probably didn't show up in your search because it was called InTouch with no hyphen. A forum member had worked with them for five years and reported that she was paid like clockwork for all fees during that five years but did not receive a November payment as quickly as she expected.
Thanks, MDavis and AustinMom. I have now found and reviewed that thread. Still not quite sure how to assess this MSC. Guess I'll try doing a cheap quickie assignment when my schedule allows, and see if it works out.

I have not worked for them but would if I saw something posted in my area that interested me. While the OP was angry at not getting paid in November when she believed she would be paid, she stated that she had worked for them for 5 years and they had always paid on time like clockwork. To me, 5 years of "like clockwork" payment with one "oopppps" sounds like a pretty good record.
I noticed the missed pay date was the Friday after Thanksgiving. After five years of this, my expectation is for payments to be "off" during the holidays. While there are several MSCs that pay faster or before a due date falling on a holiday, the vast majority don't.

I agree with you both. Their payment record sounds far more agreeable than that provided by either Goodwin or Secret Shopping Services. I'll give them a whirl after the holidays when I have more time in my calendar.

Yeah, certainly no worse than the company that has "overlooked" my payment for the last three months and been between one to three weeks late. To add insult to injury was a fair dose of sarcasm when I had to remind them yet again this month and being told my perspective was skewed since some companies take longer to pay. Only one problem with that logic, the "other companies" pay on timetongue sticking out smiley

LMAO, Lisa! If we didn't laugh, we'd have to cry. It's all so inane when we have to fight for payments. I just adore going round who-knows-how-many now with the Wizard of Oz at SSS. Which reminds me, time to send yet ANOTHER email...aaaargh!

I shopped for Service Intelligence for years with never a problem. The only time they were ever late with a payment they emailed in advance to notify me of a computer glitch, and the payment showed up a few days later. Apparently they were taken over by Intouch, as I still use my Service Intelligence password to sign in. The jobs I do aren't quite as nice; I used to have more choice of what I bought. So far, however, no problems. Payment is faster than under SI, and I did receive a payment on 11/23 for jobs completed 11/6 and 11/9. I am sorry that the poster who had the "nightmare" payment issue had a problem, and hope that works out okay, but I would have no hesitation recommending this company.
Thanks ever so much, dorseyp. I appreciate your informative reply. I feel a bit less hinky now about taking on an assignment from this MSC.

I've worked with this company for over 3 years. The scheduler I deal with is truly one of my very favorite people and this company is also one of my favorite. In my area, they have a wide variety of assignments with fair pay. They have bought out Service Intelligence, making InTouch a pretty large contender. My only disappointment with them is that they no longer pay the same fees for certain shops that they did a few months ago. As costs have risen, their shop fees have diminished.

As for payment, they do pay like clockwork. I'm not sure what happened with the person who did not get paid as expected but I do know that they pay every second week.

I would not hesitate to recommend InTouch.
Maybe the other shopper's assignments weren't finalized in time for the 11/23 run.

Exactly! Sometimes, I'll do 4 assignments on the same day but only 2 get paid on one pay period while the other 2 get paid in the next one. It's unfortunate when one is relying on that money but, in this business, I got used to being paid every 30 days, even from companies saying they pay every 2 weeks. They may pay every second week but that doesn't mean all the assignments are approved in time for that particular payroll.
