Thank you Pandora shops. .

I had a blast today and ended up with some Christmas in July presents for me!

I did a shop for them... and it was great... then I had a birthday, and now I am too old to do their shops!!!!!

They are great! I wish we could find more shopping experiences like these.
Did anyone else notice the reimbursement is down $15 from what it was last year?
I had that magic birthday as well. Why do they not leave the age to whomever goes to the shops?
Wow, the clock is ticking on my age requirement. That does seem an odd limit.

Has anyone over that age tried asking if you can do the shop if you bring a younger friend/family member along?

I just did my first one. Easy as pie, and I picked up my sister in law's birthday gift doing it. (Only thing is - I had called my mom to ask for my SIL's wishlist, and mom turned around and told my SIL I was doing a Pandora shop and getting her present for free...!! Way to devalue my gift, mom. *sigh*)
I noticed it was down too in pay but have my mother in law's Christmas gift and my niece's graduation gift taken care of.

One thing I did notice is that they have some 25.00 charms now!
There are a couple left in my state, but they're not anywhere near enough for me to justify the drive since I have a lot on my plate before the due date. No route possible for me! I love some of their jewelry. I have a pair of earrings with charms that came in at $4 over the reimbursement. So, they've dropped the reimbursement amount?
They did drop it by about $15.00.. Still love the shops and my earrings. smiling smiley
My wife and daughter have this trap, er. . . "Jewerly System", winking smiley I was able to get some Christmas Presents taken care of so I'll be early this year once the tree goes up. I hadn't done the earlier shops but someone told me you couldn't buy the charms on those so that may be why they reduced the fee since more items fall into that range now. Just speculating. . .

I was proud of myself for week. 1st 2 shops I reported, I earned scores of 10/10 and the other 2 shops just sat there saying "received". 8 days after I submitted it, I get the dreaded edititor reply:

7/24 Dear Evaluator:

Please return to the report and list at least three items and prices for Q7. Please do this by 9 a.m. EST on 7/25/2012.

In the future, please make sure to reread your report prior to hitting submit. There were many grammatical and spelling errors.

Thank you, (I cut out the initials on the signature as I didn't think it would be fair to post)

8 days? My bad on the Q7 as I only listed one but I did use spell check on my narratives, which were very thorough IMHO.

Isn't 8 days after submittal a bit long to have to check back? Oh well, live and learn I guess. Scary part is I still have that 4th shop haning out there still just saying "received".
I bought two charms and came in a dollar and change under my reimbursement.

Is there a rule that we can't list how much the reimbursement is? Sorry for asking; I'm new and haven't found all the sticky posts yet.
John,

While many companies are quicker, 2 or 3 weeks is definitely not unheard of for follow-up. The frustrating thing is that there are times when they wait a week or two and then give you an hour or so to respond.

John, I have no idea about the grammatical errors, but spell check will not catch errors which happen to be words as well, such as "She walked too the jewelry counter." Spell check is great but not a substitute for proofreading.
Thanks guys -
Karen - agreed. I did proof read and thought it to be done rather well. I've done 4 Pandora Shops and received a 10/10, 10/10, & a 9/10 so far. The one mentioned is the one still just hanging in the wind.

Shelly,
Good to know. Most turn them around rather quickly so that was my first taste of the longer wait

- Time to go rest up for my big day shopping the big Georgia Amusement Park tommorrow. Wish me luck
I have one completed shop that has been "hanging in the wind" (waiting to be graded) for about two weeks. I've always received scores of 10. I had guessed they use the same editor for these particular shops (mine have always had the same initials), and I thought s/he might be on vacation?
John-- Then it's always possible the editor has some shaky spelling/grammar skills. I've known that to happen. They probably don't last too long if that's the case.
Thank you for this thread! I took one based on this thread. I got a 10/10...yeah! I went over my reimbursement amount, based on a recommendation the sales rep. made. I ended up with a very nice gift for my sister.
Just wish they wouldn't have that silly age cutoff.
