Confero Payments?

What job in the working world pays 60-90 days after completion of the assignment? Only Confero! And, most MSCs pay 30 days out and that is not even done in the real world today! Guess if you are willing to wait and can afford to wait to get paid in this economy it doesn't matter. However, I have read way too many posts where payment is significant to paying bills!

Usually it's a toss-up whether my last payer for shops performed in a month will be Confero or Service Sleuth.

Hi, I sent 4 emails and was sent a form email about their payment schedule. And the scheduler sent an email saying, "It is not my job!" So the scheduler is useless after you book your assignment? Finally, I got in contact with the owner and lo and behold the money was in my account the same day. If this was just a one time thing it would be okay, however, it was not just one time. So off my list they go! Anyway, I do not know any company that takes that long to pay and that I have chase to get paid (at least I haven't met them yet). My assignments were done on November 4th, so I got in on time, however, it keeps happening so it is not a company I want to work with.
I do several shops for Confero every month. I always get paid by the 15th, 2 months after the shop. For example, all my November shops (regardless of when I did them in November) got paid on the 14th of January. They're very reliable and one of my favorite companies to shop for. They'll occasionally have an extra pay out around the 27th of the month as well. I've never had to email them or chase down payments.
Well, you are lucky. I am happy that you do not have problems. When I had made my last inquiry, I was sent an email stating "I don't know what happened. It will be sent in tonight's batch". Well, 9 days later still no payment in Paypal. Had to send another one and got a reply stating that they did not know why. Miraculously, it appeared the next morning. That is unacceptable.
If I were the only shopper that has not been paid per their guidelines, I would shut up and go away. Not the case. Never had problems before they changed the payment system recently. Thanks for your note
After finally getting my payment for completing the assignment, a 9 score, showing up all the time and getting my report in as soon as I get home, I am finished with Confero. Part of my business experience is you say someone is paid on a specific date you are paid. Cooperating with bad business practices whether the be payment of services, exaggerating by a scheduler how great the job will be, by pretentious stating of easy reports etc., exaggerating great bonuses of $1 or any other practice that does not benefit the shoppers who do good jobs is not for me.

I will not say it is okay by continuing to work for them.
I have two shops today and still haven't been paid for my November shops.
They show as being paid on the 14th but still have not made it to my paypal account. Confero says it takes from 3 to 7 days of payments to be posted by Paypal. I have called paypal several times and they advise the payments are posted the day they receive it. Oh, my last e-mail was that there was only one other person not getting paid when they were supposed to so they were going to check on it. and I thought it was only me. They want you to buy a regular weekly grocery shop at one of the most expensive grocery stores in the area and only reimburse you $3 for what you buy. I'm doing these two shops today then I am through with Confero. i also will go in and buy a $3 item at each store. Is there somewhere you can report them for not paying as agreed? After these two shops I am going to not say anything else for the rest of the shops they owe me for and then take them to small claims court. Or maybe even the labor board. I just need to figure out what a contract worker can do. I have looked for them on the Secretary of State's website and they are not registered to do business in Georgia with the SOS.

OK, I have vented. I am upset and waiting over 60 days for payments is not acceptable. It was OK when I was getting paid regular, but now it is just not worth it, especially with all the stress.
Yep...you are NOT the only one. And yes, the reimbursement for that most $$ grocery store of $3.00 is rediculous. I am fed up, too. I won't be able to shop for about 6 weeks because of surgery next week. I will have ample time to make contact with someone who can justify their not so shopper friendly payment mishaps. Just need to keep on them! Good luck.
Update.. still have not gotten paid for shops they state were paid. I have printed off my shopper log and my paypal account showing that matters they show paid were not paid. I also checked with the Secretary of State in Georgia. If they are a corporation that does business using contract workers in Georgia, they must be registered with the State of Georgia with a registered agent in the state. They are not registered in Georgia.

I cancelled my shops yesterday. Gas is too high to do 50 miles round trip and not get paid when you are supposed to.

With regret I have decided to not work for Confero any longer. I have to be paid when I am told I will be paid. They always blame Paypal. Paypal is not the problem. I have never had a problem receiving money the day it is sent to them with any other company.
wow it's sad to see what "was" a good reliable company go so downhill. They haven't really had shops in my area for a few years, but before that I shopped for them without issue.
So sorry to hear so many have had some problems too! I finally notified the owner and that is how I got paid. Anyway, one of the most important things to me is payment schedule, when you lay out money, I believe the reimbursement should be sent as soon as everything goes through. However, I guess they hold the funds for interest in their accounts. (Believing their money is held in an interest bearing account).
@GAShopper...I am in Ga. also. I am so sorry that the company cannot appreciate what we do for them. It does pose the question about its solvency. I am going to continue to communicate with the main office to see if there is any solution.
I finally got the money in my paypal account that was due on the 10th after telephone calls, and 2 emails. They still owe me for shops I have done in late December that will be due to be paid in Late February. I have no more shops scheduled for them and will make a determination on future shops based on the remaining two payments they owe me. Oh their explanation this time was that they do not send individual payments to paypal that they send thousands and for some reason mine gets rejected. She also said that there were 20 payments rejected this month.

I never had problems with them in the past. When it said that it was Paid on the system it was in paypal the next day. Gotta go now, must eat a burger.
Confero paid me today! Yay!

It took one email from me yesterday and I was paid for November today. I got the email address for Confero payments off this board. (Diana Dawson, I'm talking about your post).

Once again, Mystery Shop Forum rides to the rescue. Thank you.

Had to e-mail them twice, but finally got a response saying that for some unknown reason Paypal had rejected my payment and those of 20 other shoppers. The money was in my paypal account the same day. I accidentally erased the response and can't find it now. I too hate to chase payments, but they have a lot of shops in and around my area and will make a decision if I keep shopping for them in the future.
Another Update: Got an e-mail stating they were having problems with Paypal and are looking into direct deposit in the future. All of my direct deposit shops with other companies are there the next day.
Intelli-Shop is close. LOL

I have completed over 40 shops for Confero and usually receive payment within 60 days. Twice on my shop log they have indicated payment was made but it was not revied in my PayPal account. Both times I sent an e-mail to their payment department and received payment within 24 hours. I do every shop I can for Confero.
According to my shop log, I was paid via Paypal on Jan. 14, 2013 for an 11/20/2012 shop. Um...no. The payment was never in my Paypal account. I let Confero know that and I recieved an email on 1/30 stating:

Hi __________,

It appears your payment did not process correctly. We reissued today. Thanks for your patience while we researched this! Please reply to confirm when you receive your payment so I’ll know we are all set. Thanks!

Here it is on 2/1/2013 and the payment was NOT sent to my Paypal account. There is not even a record of a pending Paypal transaction. I once again emailed Confero and they have not responded to me. I shouldn't have to track down money owed to me and then to lie about the payment having already been reissued? Won't be working for them again anytime soon.
Like many of you, I did not receive the payment that was processed on Jan. 14. Who did you email about it? The only contact info I can find on the website is for the scheduler, but she doesn't seem like the right person to talk to.

Thanks.

use this email address: shopperpayments@conferoinc.com but prepare to have your emails ignored. I am still waiting on my payment that they told me was reissued 1/30. They are full of crap. I find it amusing that mystery shopping companies that are around to rate other people's businesses give some of the worst service themselves.
Boy oh boy.......I am in the same boat AND FED UP!!!!
My scheduler is very nice at least, even when I cancelled shops in the last minute. She said she understood. I did contact her a couple of times about payment and she told me that there was another shopper with the same problem. I've received all that I should have now, we'll see, I have 3 shops that should be paid on the 10th.
Wow, I used to shop for Confero years ago and considered them a top notch company. Their grading system and writing requirements were one of the toughest and they had lots of shops in my area. Then, they lost the client I did most of my work for and I hadn't shopped for them in years...until a few weeks ago. Now, I wonder when or if I'll see the money. Companies sure do change in their business practices. At least it was only a two shops and not a lot of $, but I thoroughly still expect to be paid for my work.

Here we go again. It's the 12th and the shops I didi in December have not even shown up as Payment Pending. What is the problem? They tell me that it's Paypal's fault that payments don't get posted. She told me they were looking into a way to do away with Paypal, This is the only MSC that I ever have problems getting paid. Some even pay before they are scheduled to be paid!!!
Ity's the 15th now and still no payment or any payments pending. It is coming on 60 days since I shopped for them.
