I am still waiting for payquicker to release my funds from ACE in AZ for jobs in 2011. They say they will not transfer anything to my bank account without physical copies of my drivers license and/or other legal documents with my name and physical address on them. I do not have ANYTHING, including my drivers license that has a physical address - only a PO Box. I am not on a lease or any utilities, and the response is they will not release the funds without providing that information. Anyone else have this problem? If so, how was it resolved?
Karina,

Out of curiosity - how did you open your PO Box without a street address? I thought the Post Office required ID to actually open a PO Box?

Car registration?
Tax Bill? Wouldn't a tax bill have your street address on it?
Credit Report from one of the 3 agencies?

If you go to the Post Office and get a certified /notarized letter - dunno if that would work, just tossing out ideas.

I did a google search with: "bank needs physical address only have a PO Box address"

and in doing so, came up with a link to the Paypal community which seems to have had a similar problem when Paypal would not issue a debit card to a PO Box. Also, as a last resort, have you emailed and/or spoke with someone from ACE directly? (You probably have, just double checking).

Thanks for the info. I sent off an email to ACE, so we shall see. And no on the physical address stuff - everything is to a POB, including my IRS stuff and car registration (they keep the physical on-file at the DMV, but the doc's say POcool smiley. I just checked with Paypal, and they only have my POB, but I was getting straight transfers to my bank account instead of the debit card. I'm very leary about a company that no one seems to really know a whole lot about that wants my bank account info and copies of my drivers license. Maybe that's paranoid, but I liken it to the apps on the Android market where an app with 5,000,000 downloads is more reliable than one with 5,000.

I've been very adament about my privacy because of a safety issue, but it is sometimes a problem. I just hope ACE will do the right thing. They were always easy to deal with before they switched to this new system, but because of the issues getting paid (over 4 months now), I have not accepted any more assignments with their company.

Oh - and about the PO Box - you are right - they do require a physical address to open a new one, which is why I have had the same one for the last 10+ years (since college).
I usually take a shop or two from ACE just to make sure I'm not charged anything for inactivity with PayQuicker. I found that they're a lot like PayPal when it comes to transferring my money into my bank. No problem with that at all. smiling smiley

I as well had no problem under the new pay method. Money was deposited into my account within 3 days.

Thanks for posting this; I don't know how I missed it. Guess I'll take heed of Visa's actions and leave ACE alone until they start paying by other means.

Karina,

It could be that Arizona has been so vocal about the illegals that they are being very wary, although I never heard of a drivers license with a po box number.

Listen, I went back to my maiden name, and they wouldn't renew my license until
I got a new social security card .... If I didnt have my ss card in my maiden name, they wanted to see my marriage and divorce papers. And I also had to bring
in mail to my home adress, bills to prove I lived there.

and its the same with the banks ever since Homeland Security took over the country.

I think it depends on your state. I have lived in a couple states in which a drivers license was issued with a PO Box. I don't know about banks because I have a physical address on my drivers license and drivers license is the only piece of documentation I have had to present when I've opened new accounts in the past couple of years.
For those who have transferred the money to their bank account from payquicker, did they charge a fee? I see that the email transfer is free, but to transfer to a bank is $.50. That isn't really a lot, but for a $5.00 (plus reimbursement) job, that's a really large percentage just for getting my money.
wow, I didnt know ACE had $5 jobs...have always done $15

I wasn't charged a fee, ACE made special arrangements with bank for ACE shoppers -
no fee.

I dont know if that's only for the first transfer or first transfer in a month or all transfers. Too busy to look it up right now..but ACE had a blurb on their site about it, I think...or you could go to payquicker site and have that live chat thingy and ask, I guess.
Most of our restaurant shops have a $5 fee in addition to the reimbursement for the meal/drinks. We also have monthly phone shops that can be done at home for $5 each.

I've only been paid by them once a few months ago, and am waiting payment for two shops I've since completed, but I did not have to pay anything to have the money sent to my bank.

Alas, Payquicker has locked me out and will not even send the payment back to ACE until I provide a drivers license with a street address which is a trip to the DMV and a charge. AZ will put a PO on a license, especially for crime victims, but does require a physical address on file. I really don't know what my options are at this point - the $45 simply is not worth the trouble anymore but I feel like Payquicker has just gotten free money. Won't be doing business with ACE again. Their response was that I agreed to the new pay system, but I had no idea it would be this much of a hassle. They have my bank account info, ssn, dob, address, drivers license #, etc., and its still not enough for them. No problems with other companies paying me through paypal, direct deposit, or check - just payquicker.

Completely agree, blaqwumin. ACE is definitely following this thread. Jamie Giles posted the other day and has "liked" several posts.

I'm sure ACE will work with this shopper when they realize the situation. I loved shopping for ACE and I miss them. I was a shopper who, because ACE has so little in my area, chose not to create an account with PayQuicker. But I have always found them reasonable and helpful, great folks. ACE went with PayQuicker for specific reasons, and they knew there would be hiccups and milestones. This is one of those hiccups. I'm sure ACE management will step in and facilitate payment. Karina, please keep us posted on the progress.

IMHO it's between "Karina" and the bank. The bank requires information.
I dont believe one has to go to the MV to make a photocopy of their license with their home address on it and upload it to the bank.

AAnd by the way - since when is any drivers'license good for 10 years , p.o. box or not?

smelling something fishy.

I totally disagree with you on 2 counts:

1. Just because ONE only has 6 posts doesn't necessarily make them a troll...I signed up on this forum in June of 2011 and I've only posted 60+...you on the other hand joined about a month ago and have 200+...some people just chime in more than others...(btw...I've read this forum almost daily since 2011)

2. Katrina did not perform work for the Bank...ACE is who owes her the money...she has asked for their assistance and they should do so "By Any Means Necessary"...particularly if they have the information the the Bank needs on file when she contracted with them...

FYI...My CADL...was extended for an additional 4yrs for a perfect record...which in essence didn't get renewed for 8yrs...
Actually...

Where Karina is from - Arizona - our licenses are good until we are age 65.

Mine (after we moved back to AZ from PA in June 2010) is as follows:

Issued: 10/04/2010
EXpires: 07/2027 (On the day I turn 65. I'm not including the day, so my DOB is not on a forum)

My husband's was issued in 06/2010.
His will expire in 04/2024 - when he turns 65.

At that point, I believe we have to have full physicals and our eyesight needs to be in good shape (with or without glasses/contacts as needed).

So yes, there are states where your DL is valid for over 10 years.

Proud To Be A Soldier's Mom
Hi all. I haven't read this whole thread but I do want to clarify a couple points. Not about PayQuicker. That's everyone's personal choice but switching hasn't hindered ACE's shopper base as out of the 1000s of shoppers, most had no issue switching. For those who did, I completely understand and wouldn't force anyone to feel obligated to do something they don't feel comfortable doing.

Now, that aside, the large list of shops that were released were all over the country for the one client...those are for May shops. The shoppers got April's workload done ahead of time and the editing team finished up with them so Julie decided to release the May shops. They're pretty easy reports so most tend to go quickly. However, they can *not* be started before May 1, so Tuesday. smiling smiley

Now in Pennsylvania, they have some delicious restaurant shops and I swear one week this summer I'm taking the kids down for a few days and we're going to live off their food, take-out and dine in, and I'll say hi to a favorite shopper or two for that client. LOL

Finally, Jamie is a living doll but she's not the owner. Julie and Tiffany are the owners. Jamie's the main scheduler and brings it to the table! Love her and her sister who is now on the editing team also. smiling smiley Love them enough that I wanna take a road trip and go visit them and their shoreline this summer, too. smiling smiley
To answer some of the questions I've seen about PayQuicker on the thread because not everyone is going to hunt down the other thread:

1) PayQuicker is FDIC insured, just as any U.S. bank is. PayPal isn't.

2) PayQuicker never charges shoppers for transfers to your bank account. ACE pays that each time the shoppers don't. If you want a check mailed to you, you might have to pay a fee for that, though. Can't remember.

3) The debit card is free now. PayQuicker changed that when several of us expressed dissatisfaction with a monthly fee.

4) If you were ever charged an inactivity fee, then contact Steve from PayQuicker (believe that's his name). His contact info is on the other thread. You should not be charged a fee like that as they've changed their policy to meet the MSers' needs.

5) I've used PayQuicker every month and usually twice a month for 10 months, as of tomorrow. (Wow! I can't believe it's been that long.) Once for my shopper payments. Once for editing. Never any issues whatsoever. Being an ACE editor doesn't discount my experience with PayQuicker. I like PayQuicker so much that I chose it for my Amusement Advantage account, but to each his/her own, right?

6) I get my PayQuicker payment the next business day if submitted before 2 p.m. Otherwise, it's two business days. That's faster than I've ever gotten PayPal, which is always three days for me. Maybe it's my location since some get theirs sooner? A day or two isn't going to make or break anything but since people asked...

7) I wouldn't imagine there would be a lot of non-PR buzz online because, from my understanding, those competitors mentioned are competing with PayPal are doing so for eBay purchases, which is not what PayQuicker is doing. My understanding is ystery shopping is where they're focusing their business and other companies are wanting to come onboard and away from PayPal for a variety of reasons so it's a good market for PayQuicker to stick with.

8) ACE knew there might be backlash, though it's been minimal. No one is trying to force shoppers to use PayQuicker. It's been in place for 10 months so if you do a shop with ACE, that is the payment system used. If you don't like or trust PayQuicker, then no one's feelings will be hurt if you don't shop for ACE. The work is still getting done and everyone's still getting paid. Do what makes you happy, not what stresses you out. smiling smiley

Have a great day, y'all!

Angel, there are no fees involved. See my above post. ACE has a number of Canadian shops frequently, too. Not so much on the U.S. side for where we're at. I do phone shops and that's about it. sad smiley I need to recruit some local places so I can shop some places I enjoy visiting. winking smiley

I don't know if Cornerstone Community FCU will work for you. They have a few locations, the closest being North Tonawanda but they also have share locations where you can bank and they offer free online banking. I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE Cornerstone. We also have an account with a local bank but they pale in comparison to Cornerstone. Cornerstone is also growing quickly so maybe they'll have something opening in the near future closer to the border if you don't like the share option. Here's a link to their locations and share branches:

Good luck!
Thanks Angie, for confirming what mostly I've said about PayQuicker, Paypal, and
Ace too.

Couple of things I didnt know. That PAYPAL is NOT covered by FDIC. That's not good.
I have complained that they are acting as a bank, and making mountains of interest
off the money they hold for 3-20 days which they keep and dont pass on to the account holder.... and raise their prices and charges at will... No regulation. NOt a good thing,

AND I didn't know that you were an editor for ACE. So why am I not getting all
7's ?? lol. I bet I write the best reports, always get a card, and some editors even write "great dtails". So ??? hint hint smiling smiley

Now scuse me while I go check in and see if any restaurants are in my area.

I'm not sure if I've ever edited your reports. Maybe one. But I might be confusing you with another poster. It's not always easy to keep track of who's who and I really don't try. However, if your feedback is only "great dtails" that's NOT me for a few reasons:

1) I don't do brevity well. Rarely have I offered two words as feedback.
2) I might have a typo once in a while in my feedback but I wouldn't have two or three. I would've written, "Great details!"
3) I always thank everyone by name for their help because without shoppers the work wouldn't be done. Even those who did a not so terrific job still took the time to go there, do the assignment, and submit a report. smiling smiley

Now if you're talking about the PA restaurants, know that you go with me completely envious! I got to do one on my way back up to WNY last summer and loved it. I am not joking when I say I might go for a few days with the kids and do those shops. We stayed in a decent motel that had a pool and the kids loved it. Heck, I loved it!
