Mystery Shopping Companies offering jobs in NC...

I have spent countless hours registering with companies only to find out they do not have any jobs available in my area, much less the entire state - NOrth Carolina. Does anyone know how to find out the areas companies have clients and serve before filling out sometimes very lengthy applications?
Thanks for your help

Try signing up with JobSlinger. The jobs you see on JobSlinger will likely be gone before you an get to them, but it will show you what companies are posting jobs in your area. Then sign up with those companies.
I signed up with Jobslinger and have followed your suggestion, but it seems like it is the same companies (all of which I have registered with) and never any new additions. When I look over mystery shopping company lists that have hundreds of companies, I want to sign up, but hate wasting so much time to find out they don't do work in my state. Do you know of another site than Jobslinger or MSJobBoard that may be helpful?
No. In fact, I don't use JobSlinger much. I have found the best way to be available for everything in my area is to apply for as many jobs as possible. There are hundreds of companies. I am signed up with over 150. Many shoppers are signed up with more than that. That doesn't mean I work with all of them all the time. Some do not have jobs in my area. Some used to have jobs here but currently do not, some have never had jobs in my area. Some maybe never will. But just because a company does not have shops in my area today does not mean that next week, next month or next year, that they will not. If and when they do, I am signed up and ready. As far as finding out before signing up with companies whether or not they have jobs in your area, probably not. Most MSPs do not disclose to you which clients they shop until you have signed up so you will probably have to continue to sign up in order to find out what they have in your area.
Thank you for the advice. I was afraid that was the answer. I will keep plugging through all those applications! smiling smiley
