Despite injuries, I served. The back was less bad then, and jury service lasted only one day. The procedings were interesting to me, and the jury had no difficulty reaching a determination. It would be more difficult now to sit for prolonged periods in the provided seats, but if tptb installed recliners-- such as those in a movie theater auditorium-- I would be comfortable. (Mind you, they would need a bigger building.) For people with health concerns: I hear you. In a perfect world, you would quickly access the designated area and have seating. You would be assigned to a case that is interesting or compelling enough to engage you and distract you from discomforts for awhile. You would, potentially, have an experience that enriches in some way, if not monetarily.
