Yep, I check Slickdeals often.

That, and investing in the US stock market has been awesome. We're up over 10% so far this year. Compounding IS the greatest thing since sliced bread!

I follow thefreebieguy on Telegram. He posts great deals, sales, freebies & contests. I also use slickdeals.net. They do have an app as well.

I check Slickdeals.net all the time.

They also have a chat board where you can find even more deals.

They always have refurbished laptops for as low as $150. But read the comments about the specifications to see if it will do what you need it to. Very educational message boards.

Woot.com also posts deals daily.
You know you're old when you dont actually NEED something but buy it because its a deal!
I can't get enough of TGTG!

I found a sweet spot, though. I learned to only order from places where I enjoy the whole menu and on certain days. My area seems to have more choices than bakeries and grocery stores.

To date, I have found the most value at a place for less than $3. I go a little early, and then the guy asks me what I would like in the bag. smiling smiley At another place, a girl had three bags. Each felt different. I asked if she could give me a hint. She playfully said, "It's a surprise!" sad smiley

Please don't feed the MSF trolls!

Feeding the MSF trolls bread or other human food is detrimental to their health and the environment. It can lead to malnutrition, disease, and behavioral problems in trolls, as well as water pollution and the spread of pests. Trolls are capable of finding their own food sources and don't require human assistance.
@MLZ I got rid of all the ridiculous cleaning supplies except Dawn, Pledge and bleach. I was buying, not using up and buying more. I too use half vinegar and water. It does clean everything and more. I took your tip and added some dawn to my sprayer bottle. :-)
Last month, I bought a 5 pound bag of citric acid for cheap. It cleans everything and cleans well.

Also that DIY knockoff of the blue Dawn spray, Power something or other?
I checked the oil level in the truck today. It needed about 1/2 quart to top it off. Checking fluid levels is an excellent way to prevent premature engine failure from low fluid. The two biggest vehicle killers? Lack of proper maintenance and simple neglect.

Don't believe me? Go to YouTube and check out the "I Do Cars" channel where he disassembles engines every Saturday night looking for the cause of failure. [www.youtube.com]

Also, don't leave your vehicle idling for long periods. It's bad for the engine AND the environment.

Mavi- I challenge you to avoid talking about investing, ‘winning’ or your wealth in your next 5 posts. I don’t think you’ll be able to do it, I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s all in an effort to impress BF.

We don't watch much TV in the Maverick household. So there is no cable, satellite, or any subscription service. Having said that, we do have "Smart TVs." Have you noticed that as your Smart TV ages (after about 5 yrs), the software / firmware updates make the Smart TV sluggish in operation or possibly impossible to watch. I found that just getting the inexpensive "Roku streaming stick" by-passes the original Smart TV operation and noticeably improves the TVs performance. I suspect a Fire stick would do the same but I've never used one.

We do a similar savings technique with our smartphones; by-pass the large carriers and use a Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) and pay only $15/month for each number. When we travel we use an online eSim download for international service that is much cheaper.

Our savings goes to investments which are now showing an 11% return YTD.
