Has anyone done the large purchase sporting goods purchase and return shops?

I see shops where you purchase a high price bat or piece of sports equipment to see if warranty is offered. You then can return the item as soon as you made purchase. Has anyone done these? I fear not being able to return item and being stuck!

I did one of these. It was super easy, and I had no problem returning. My item was sunglasses.
Why would you not be able to return it? I have not done a shop yet. I want to see higher fee before I bother with it. I do not know if there is a minimum time between purchase and return required. I would think you could go to car, take pics of original receipt. Start filling out report in car while waiting and then come back inside after 10-15 minutes and say you found out your kid/friend/whoever already has it and you don't need it anymore.

I just don't think the beginning pay is worth it for me to do them.
What I'm confused about is the job posting itself that claims there's a reimbursement of $320, yet instructions say to return the item. I don't believe there can be a reimbursement on something that is returned. Anyone test that statement? I think they're lying.

I did one this week. It was very easy to do.
I think that must be if for some reason you’re unable to return it. I wondered the same thing, but after completing the shop, my pay was just the payment and no reimbursement.
@sestrahelena - Yes, exactly. It says reimbursed up to...So, it was incorrectly posted on the main page that way. It is indeed a purchase and return, period. They need to put that on the main shop listing page. There is absolutely no reimbursement.
Bait & Switch. Smooth move, MSC. I guess it's for the new shoppers that might be dazzled by such an attractive reimbursement.

I did a few purchase-and-returns early in my shopping days when I would grab just about any job that paid double digits.

Now they are 10-ft-pole jobs for me. FWIS, it's 2 mystery shops for 1 fee. Even if big bonuses were involved I'd probably still pass.

Nah, just how one shopper constantly thinks the msc is out to get em. No more personal insults from me. I'm going to go chill in my villa.
Just tried applying. Dates showing. I picked a date. Application denied as I either did not meet the profile desired or all dates were filled. This is not the first shop I have applied for and been declined. Tired of this company.

This happened to me too. I kept trying and eventually it was approved.
