5 Guys Burgers removed from campaign

The problem is that Five Guys will get the date and time of your visit from the report and actually pull the video footage to determine who the shopper is. I’ve heard this over and over again about Five Guys. Seems like it defeats the purpose of mystery shopping, but Five Guys are also the ones who want to know why you didn’t rate all their employees as “highly enthusiastic.”
This has been my experience with the chicken finger company, as well.
Editing to add, from my experience, actually the chicken finger company was much worse than Five Guys in this regard.

I was checking menu prices for my own entertainment. Five Guys' burgers now cost more than their equivalent at Shake Shack--which used to be THE overpriced burger place. $10.19 at 5Gs for a little cheeseburger with all the toppings vs. $8.99 at S-Shack for a cheeseburger with all the toppings. What is this world coming to?
The price is location-dependent. I just checked and the price for a Little Cheeseburger at the Five Guys in Marlton, NJ is $8.49 (before tax), and in Wilmington, DE it is $8.70 (no sales tax in Tax-Free Delaware). The cost for a Shack Burger at the Marlton, NJ Shake Shack is $6.99 (before tax) and it is the same $6.99 in Delaware.

Edited to add: I have to wonder where you are located. Out of curiosity, I checked Five Guys at Times Square in NYC and a Little Cheeseburger is $8.69 which is $1.50 less than you quoted.

Edited again. I looked up the 5G in Petaluma, California (which I have shopped), and a 5G Little Cheeseburger is now up to $9.49 (it was $8.49 in March 2023).

I do not doubt you, Susan, I was just wondering about the location of the high-priced 5G you shopped.

Shopping Southeast Pennsylvania, Delaware above the canal, and South Jersey since 2008

Only $8.69 in Times Square for a little cheeseburger??? Maybe I should head to Times Square (or even better, to New Jersey or Delaware) to eat!!

They may be using dynamic pricing, or showing different prices to different people based on phone/computer settings. When I checked the NYC Times Square location today (Sunday ), a little cheeseburger was $9.99--50 cents more than you found.

My initial search was in Westchester County, an area north of NYC, where there is a Five Guys and a Shake Shack in the same shopping center.
