I miss the Starbucks shops where you got paid $10 to weigh and take the temperature of a drink. I used to make a whole route (NYC where there's really one on every corner) and carry a big thermos in my backpack to dump the drinks into after measuring/tasting.

You must live in the Cincinnati area. Dewey’s shops were posted a few weeks ago, same msc.
Dairy Queen shops were a favorite for me. DQ is right next to the car wash shops I do. The DQ shops disappeared during Covid and didn't comeback

This was me with Pret a Manger. I had a backpack full of fancy sandwiches.
I used to shop Pret A Manger in DC when I lived in that area. I loved those sandwiches. There was a location at my Metro station, so I would do the shop and take my little dinner home in my backpack too lol.
The Lidl photo audits. The pay was good and the bonus pay was even better.

The Counter

I hear you on that one, Sandy. That was a big part of my MS routine in the past. Specifically the to-go shops.

In the past, I used to do a competitor shops for a PI firm in Las Vegas where I would go to various casinos, gamble away money they would front me and simply have to reports back on the gifts/comps I was offered. No narratives and I was allowed to keep all the free stuff. I have no clue who the end client actually was, but still miss those assignments...

Food!!

Taco John's
Famous Dave's
Pizza Ranch
HyVee Market Grille
Dairy Queen
Hardees
Arby's
Black Bear Diner
Buffalo Wild Wings
Casey's
Quiznos
HuHot

Foods shops were always so simple, but almost all of them have discontinued in my area. The HyVee Market Grilles were so nice because there were so many of them in my traveling area, that I could pretty much get a free meal (or two) any time I was traveling for other shops. They had one of the best burgers I've ever had, and it was only $8 for a huge half pound burger and fries. More than I could eat.
Taco John's????
It's shopped as part of a truck stop/ travel center near me. It's the most disgusting food I've ever tasted. I'd happily eat McDonald's over that crap!

I never got to do one before they ended, but the zoo shops in the NYC area seemed interesting.

A lot of nice and noteworthy clients. I have been mystery shopping for around five years. I did not know about a lot of these places. Maybe I am mystery shopping with the wrong companies.

For me, Twin Peaks. I was afraid to do shops here, but once I got the nerve to do my first one, I became hooked. I did a good number of them last year, but haven't seem them for a while now.

Maybe it was just my area. Coincidentally, the shops came back this month after about a 5-month hiatus.
The old USPS, I don't even get them anymore from the last one
When I started years ago, I lived on Cici's Pizzas and Wingstops, Never see them again, but they were pretty easy and usually good bonuses.
