Obviously pick up shops are easier than the instore shops and they pay $32 in groceries SO everyone if they could would take ALL PICK ups and pass on the instore shops which I find foolish at times. Looking to see if the associate made eye contact, smiled or a combination of those items is rather foolish- often the payment process is so quick that you cannot stand there assessing if the cashier or bagger was smiling, making eye contact or greeting you. Same with the produce man- when they are unpacking produce they do not have time to stop, look around smile and make eye contact while they greet people. I prefer them to be working and not looking around! I look at everything required on all shops. A friend went me once and was amazed that I actually pick up packages of meat to look at them and open the milk area to see if the inside is clean and what the dates are. But, I do. What I find hard is the eye contact, smile and greet stuff- as I when I am trying to enter my number into the device to get points I do not have time to be staring at the cashier or bagger and as I usually buy only a few things the process is quick. To be honest I prefer cashiers who are fast and not standing there smiling at people. If a cashier is not rude then I am happy-whether they smiled at me or not.
