Would you do it?

So glad I randomly check the IPSOS job board.

Popped in yesterday and did a double take when I found a $238 bonus for a red/white/some silver/often blue&orange debrand. With base bay + reimbursement = $255 gross pay.

A little over 4 hours roundtrip driving time, with about 30 minutes onsite.

Tried to find some other shops to do on the trip, but no luck.

I do not factor in drive time vs pay because I'm deducting mileage, but I know that some people approach this differently.

I'm glad I took this, and would do it again. Generated much more $$$ than driving ride share the same amount of time.

Heck yes. Driving four hours for one shop beats driving two hours for 10 shops at the same pay.
I might, depending on my day/week.

It's frustrating that they often don't send out emails notifying shoppers of these great bonuses, since they are mostly eliminating schedulers.
So it's basically $50/hour and 4 hours of it is driving. Hell yes!
Unless the weather and/or some unusual situation existed, EBETCHE!
Hey even I might do it...The job may be in Pasadena which is around 15-18 miles away and took me 2 hours to get home from one time. Maybe it will be a good day on the freeway today and I can do the 36 miles roundtrip in an hour.
@CoolMusic,

"Would you do it?" Are you questioning my morality? LOL smiling smiley

In the distant past I had been known to do it. I would do this shop, too. Hellyeah!
I'd do it.

Shopping Arkansas, Louisiana, & Mississippi.
No I would not. I really just do mystery shopping for fun, if I can fit stuff in with my daily routine and not have it take too much time. I think people grossly underestimate the cost of putting mileage on their vehicle. It’s not just gas! Every mile that you drive is putting that car 1 mile closer to its eventual graveyard.
I'm a maybe. I usually see if there are shops with similar profit and time commitment closer to home. I am always afraid that if I miss a guideline or something, I would have to go back in order to get paid and 2 round trips changes that profit quite a bit. If I did these shops frequently and was confident that missing something would not be an issue, I would jump on it in a heartbeat.
I have to guestimate how many miles you drove. If it was a total of 200 miles (average of 50 miles per hour), then the IRS mileage rate results in a "cost" of $131, leaving $107 to cover my time. 4 driving hours plus and an estimated fifth hour to complete and report the shop. I would do it.

If you are somewhere where driving 70 mph is common, then you drove 280 miles at $0.655 = $183.40 leaving $54.60 for five hours of my time. I am unlikely to have done it unless it was a very stress-free drive and I had nothing else to do that day.

Shopping Southeast Pennsylvania, Delaware above the canal, and South Jersey since 2008
I'd do it too! I don’t mind long drives if the pay is worth it. I'd play some music, stop for lunch and enjoy the drive smiling smiley
I’d definitely do it. I’d also expand my search and find more shops in the area within 25-30 miles.
They may be bonused too and I could make
Even more.

My mindset exactly.

It was a gorgeous day, driving through some gorgeous country, on US6, Utah's deadliest highway!

Besides the hefty bonus, the area now has a legit Texas BBQ joint and an impressive new brewery/woodfired oven operation, so that swayed the decision.

I visit the area 4 times a year for an IC gig in the music products industry (my world), and I now really enjoy the loop thanks to those two stops.
