Anyone else insulted when asked to fill out a survey for a "chance" to win a gift card?

I've been doing this for a long while and when a MSC asks me to fill out surveys for a "chance" to win a gift card, I feel insulted.

Gee wiz. You want me to take time to help you folks out and instead of paying me?

Nice! I'll get a chance to get paid!

"Back in the day" we would get paid to do surveys.

Somebody will do it, though.
The gift card is only $25.. make it $100 and maybe I would
I do not ever feel insulted in business. I simply act as Helena stated and delete the request.
I would take more satisfaction in just taking one minute to call the toll free number to the complain on service than fill out those elongated survey forms. Especially the clients listed on the Shops You Miss thread.
It depends on if it's just a few questions, or if it's an opportunity to give feedback, sometimes I'll do it but otherwise, nah.
Company earns payment for your answers and gives you chance to win a prize no one ever seems wins. If names of winners posted names sound phony. No thanks. I also hang up on telephone surveys that do not pay. Too little time left to waste for free.

It's not worth the aggravation to indulge in feeling insulted or offended. Just ignore, delete, and get on with your day.
haha. I'm encouraged to hear many of you not doing it, means my chances are higher!
If everyone would just delete and not respond that would be great.
Ten foot pole treatment from me, delete them all. If I want to play the lottery I'll buy a ticket.

Yeah, 1 in 250,000 instead of 1 in a million.
I find it no more insulting than offering me $8 to do a shop. These all get deleted without hesitation.
To each his own. I don't get into the "I'm insulted" thing -- heck, in business, during price negotiation I laugh when people say "I'm insulted". Again - speaking just for myself: They give me an optional survey to take for free. It's my choice to not do it. They can't force me to do it - President Lincoln and and a few others made that illegal.

Of course, if someone wanted to make this a cause - - well, you'd need 100+ people to email XYC company and say ..... "you are paying XYZ MSC for data. We're all gonna answer the survey and lie our butts off...you're paying for bogus info".....well, that might help change things but personally I'd rather watch my 80's shows and pretend I'm still living in a sane world and silently ask people to get off my lawn.

Now, if someone shouted at me "Man look at you. You didn't lay off the McDonalds, you sucked at sports, you are sporting a b-Cup and the only reason you have 2 kids is because you turned the lights off".....I'd say that was an insult, after which I'd have to sadly admit to myself that the guy was right. Oh man now I insulted myself.
