Is Lowe's still shopped?

I have not seen the usual 2 department assignments lately. Thank you!

Last week, I saw the kids' workshop posted.

I intend to live forever. So far, so good.
I won't do those shops anymore. My last two were rejected for things I felt were not in my control.
The first was for checking out at customer service area. The store I visited only has self check out which cant be used per guidelines. You are supposed to use customer service center in this case. I waited the 30 mins after my purchase and made my return. The same person who rang me up, did my return. My feedback was that I should not have used customer service counter as there was a cashier in self check out I could have used. I argued that the guidelines said specifically, DO NOT USE SELF CHECKOUT. That cashier would have helped me checkout at a self check out kiosk and my receipt would have had "Self Checkout " printed on the receipt.

The second was two departments I was to shop were right next to each other. The same associate helped me for both. I was rejected becsuse I didn't follow the "time for an associate to assist me" policy. I made the mistake of asking where the department was located and associate told me " right here, I work here too.". The feedback said I should walked away, then come back a few minutes later.

I think they want find reasons not to pay you. I gave great feedback on that associate which I know is what they want.
I'm loving the kids workshop ones. I go to them anyway with my kids so it makes it even better to be compensated for it. Easy peasy shops.

.

I did not know that if you use a self check out it will say self check out on the receipt? I have used self check out at WM before and it does not say self check out.. I found that very odd
@Koyote1 I have always used self checkout on the Lowe's small purchase + 2 departments + return at return desk jobs. The last one I did was in November right before they received their Christmas trees. I think they had one more cycle after that. Self checkout has always been required on this Lowe's job per the guidelines. I've never seen them state otherwise. They do have a min 20 minute wait before going back to make a return. That is why they and some here suggest making the purchase first, go back to your car to leave the item, and go back in to visit the two departments to eliminate the wait time.

I have seen some Home Depot jobs that require you to use a manned register -- so you either go to the Pro Desk area, a regular checkout register that is not self checkout which is rare to find nowadays, or customer service. Using the last option to make a purchase is the least preferred since that person will probably process or be in the vicinity when your come back for the return.

There are some Home Depot jobs that require that you use a self checkout, but scan the QR code instead of the bar code so that it triggers an alert for a team member to come over to help. This current cycle did not include a section for the return receipt, but there was no reimbursement.

I think it is funny that they used the Home Depot logo when they listed the Lowe's Kids Workshop.

It is bizarre that you are expected to know what departments the associate works in. I am sure I have had the same person help me in both departments for Lowe's and Home Depot and did not have a problem. I would've challenged that editor and asked them to show you where it says you should walk away for a few minutes if the associate says they work in that department as well.

Koyote1 I feel your pain, I think they do look for ways to not pay you, for some reason unknown to me. I did a Lowe’s a couple months back that was declined a few months back - the department I was to ask questions in was so busy, another associate was helping, and even after over 30 minutes, I didn’t get to speak to anyone. The editor said I should have went to CS and asked for help, and declined it for that reason. Then I saw it pop back up on the board at double pay (which was bonused to start with). I grabbed it, then the scheduler emailed asking if I was sure I wanted it since my previous one had gotten declined. I explained what happened, and my report was ultimately approved. I was shocked, given the company who does these are normally good at ignoring and not providing good customer service, for a company that measures such for other companies. In my opinion that is.
Read the guidelines, find where it tells you how to check out. Copy and paste it to the editor. DO NOT ASSUME that the editor knows what they are doing. Prove that you did it right.

There's a different type of Lowes shop in NY/NJ. Maybe other states, too. Checking endcap displays.

Sounds easy enough? I wonder if you need to take pictures?
Ses, they are advertising those here in the deep south too.

Yes
The Lowe's task I see is checking endcap displays and you have to visit two departments and make a small purchase that is not returned. They kick in $2 towards your purchase plus the fee. I've done the purchase/return plus 2 department visits that start at $18..

How many endcap displays do you need to evaluate?

I don't see any Lowe's close to me that have this available. Typically the Lowe's jobs stay on the board thru at least one pay bump in my area. There are so many variables that it could turn into a 40-60 minute job.
I have never done any Lowe's shops before

I wonder if the shops this time around will be easier or harder?

May be some one will give feed back once they do one

I don't shop places where the employees actually run when they see a customer coming.
@panama18 Sad, but true. sad smiley

I do them because I need to buy something at Lowe’s. Tool or paint etc. I have not seen them for a month or two. Eh. I think it was an odd shop because you have tackle a worker to help you plus when you do get help they read right off the box just as easily as I can. In my reports, I always put typical Lowe’s experience a lot.

However, if no one helps you within the time frame you're supposed to wait, you can leave and will still be paid. I always hope no one comes to help me, but that only happened once.
