Stater Bros are on the Board... along with silly questions??

Stater Bros are on the Board. I don't care to interact asking questions. So, go get 'em!

I should have looked more closely. I thought they were competitor shops. Oh how I hate the stupid question shops! I only took one. Most likely a one and done.

I miss Stater Brothers, I really like shopping there. I wish they weren't just in the Inland Empire, we could really use a store like that here in Alabama.
They are more than in the IE...but they are limited to the SoCal region. I worked at the HQ in 2021 for several months as an IT contractor. They had like 185 stores. It was an interesting operation, but they don't plan to take on Kroger and go nationwide.

Hb, when I lived in Southern California, Stater Brothers was in San Bernardino and Riverside and that was pretty much it. I guess at some point they moved into San Diego County, because my girlfriend in San Marcos told me about finding a bunch of chicken livers on sale at her local Stater Brothers, which I think is in the old Vons store that closed. I always used to stop at that Vons and buy dinner for us, when I went to go and visit, and then we would sit and eat and fight the dogs for the food.

They're in Orange County too.

If I still live there I'd grab all of them, I miss Stater Brothers. And the folks that work at Stater Brothers don't want to interact with customers, or answer questions, so I'm sure it would all be one or two word answers. Easy peasy. If I had a way to tote the groceries home from California I might even spend a weekend there and go to every Stater Brothers I can find.

I think there is a max. I got 8 and can't get anymore. And
like you I would grab more if I could.

I don't dislike SB. I really am NOT loyal to any of them. I go for the best deals that each one offer. Sometimes it is SB, sometimes it is the vons/albertson, sometimes it is the Kroger owned stores. I look at the weekly ads that come each week and see what is being offered.

None of these even made the top 10 in this article.

There are scattered around the east side of Los Angeles County also. A friend from Sacramento Area really liked them. I knew people would go for the Harris Ranch beef from the butcher. It isn't on my regular rotation but the parking lot is always full and service usually good when I do go (rarely is there a long line at the checkstand).

I grabbed one at a store close by that I regularly visit several times a week. I don’t mind questions as I’ve done dozens of Bristol Farms. Those take a long time but I do t mind.
A question to you guys who do these Staters, how long does it typically take? I don’t mind asking questions since I’m getting my shopping done too smiling smiley
AFAIK this is a new contract and we are the guinea pigs.
Bristol Farms!!! I use to do those all the time a few years ago, usually with a bonus. But they are way too much work in comparison to the other grocery shops. The Staters will not take nearly as long because you only have to ask 3 questions as opposed to asking a question to each person in each department at Bristol Farms. Also, you don't have all the narratives in the Staters evaluation. Do they still have the little narratives for each department in the Bristol Farms evaluation? Yes, Staters is most definitely a piece of cake in comparison.

Yess. LOL Bristol F. does have long narratives too but I treat these reports as "grab a drink and snack and get comfy in the PC chair". grinning smiley I am almost OCD with prep and notes (on my phone) as I do the shop. I enjoy the store, take my time because I don't shop there often and I love the store, so I don't feel stressed. I take my time and have my questions ready & when finished inside I do a few extra notes in the car. I don't mind the narratives for each dept. I just keep it as concise as possible. I will look forward to my first Staters next week and see how it goes. If it's fast, I may try and grab more next month. Thx for your help.
I did mine already and it wasn't that bad. There are four departments in this store with question and then the person on the floor. I went early and only had to wait at one department and it took a while to find a floor associate. There is just a narrative for overall experience, explain any nos. Took about 45 minutes in the store and less than an hour for submitting the shop, maybe 30 minutes? Using the stopwatch for wait time is more of a pain than the questions.
It wasn't as bad as I thought. The service sure is better than what you get at Ralphs. Plus the Reimbursement is higher. I tagged on a Bestmark alcohol job the same trip so my gas was covered. (Those stores are less than 5 miles from home).

I might actually take one again in a few months.

@melg I have done 3 stores. None of mine had service bakeries. Did your store have a service bakery?

Yes this one does, takes cake orders for example.
