Olive Garden Shops

These shops are gone instantly when posted. They don't want to waste their time responding to that question. If you have read some of the posts, people already indicated they are flying off the board very fast.

They post them around 10-11 AM eastern time and you gotta be real quick. I think if these shops stick around, the novelty will wear off and people won't be so quick to do them. The report is easy enough, but going in the hole $15-$20 is gonna wear thin after awhile. Right now many people willing to do it cuz it is different than just getting fast food.

Bob comments--Those of us for whom profit is our main or only concern will never be able to complete for work with lifestyle shoppers, who see the job as a savings. It is identical to a sustained retailer attempting to sell against one who is liquidating their stock.
I did one just for the novelty. I got lucky and the server did not charge me for the drink, The company accepted the report, so I was only out of pocket $4.47 including an 18% tip (The service was only so so) and after factoring in the $8 pay. The lasagna portion was so huge, I got 3 meals out of it. My gf got 2 meals out of the shrimp and chicken. Did I make money on the shop? No. But I saved out of pocket costs for several meals. So it was worth it as a one off. I likely won't do another one though unless they increase the reimbursement. As mentioned, the report is pretty easy.
I think that is the main reason people are doing them. Easy report and something DIFFERENT than the normal crap people are doing them. Spending $15-$20 for sit down service meal for what can feed 2 (or more) is very reasonable. I know I would rather have the entire meal paid for and make money, but when you get tired of doing fast food shops and want something different, this was a nice alternative. I would do this shop all day every day over doing a 5 guys for $9 pay and not enough reimbursement. Yes, I would be in the positive even after paying out of pocket for the additional cost of the food, but I wouldn't be stuck with a crap 5 guys report and only feeding 1 person (even though I enjoy 5 guys food).

People who only want to be "net positive income" after each shop will never look at it that way. I used to be like that and I am much more picky with my shops now given my much improved financial situation. So spending $15 isn't an issue for me if it means I'm going to get more value out of my effort.
