Am I wrong?

Regardless of whether there was a miscommunication about the $45 being PAD on top of base fee or $45 in total for the shops, the scheduler still was in the wrong when she "thought" the base fee was $15, when it was listed as $21. Either way one works the math, the scheduler was in error. No way to know whether that was on purpose or by accident.

I agree Birdy, that is what I think made me think something funny was going on. I would think schedulers were aware of the base project pay before calling contractors and negotiating prices.

me and the scheduler heard 2 different things apparently so I guess we’ll never know for sure.

I'm glad we agree and that it worked out for you.

Unfortunately I had the same thing happen to me twice, from the same company (two different schedulers) in the past few months. I had them both remove the shops. Now I always check right away to make sure the PAD is added as agreed.
I haven't had any problems with the company that calls it a pad instead of a bonus. But I do get tired of them trying to reduce the pad for the cell phone shops. Oh, it is too early in the cycle for that much pad. Well then do not bother me I told you what I will accept. When they call me up for a job in a different state than the one I live in I tell them that I want $0.50 a mile one way and it is not as the crow flies. Because I am not strapping on a powered paraglider to my back and going there. I mean people may do it on Youtube but not this dude.
They played you big time. I had this happened to me twice with the same company. I have stopped answering their calls and only reply by text or email, and I request the pad myself other times. The second time, the scheduler tried to pass the parking rate reimbursement as the fee! Some of the schedulers have been advertising the parking shops as high paying shops for $50+, when they mean $45 parking plus $ 7 fee. NO!
I've always learned to talk in totals. My go-to is the revealed electronics store shops that while I understand many of y'all hating them, I have learned to love. They are oddly a mix of $95 or $85 base fee depending on location. Makes it really confusing to talk in bonuses over the phone if I'm not sure if the shop in question is an 85 or a 95 base fee. That's why I just always use the word total. Worst came to worse if a scheduler REALLY misunderstood total for bonus, then I'm the one making out on the screw up. That has never happened though
I have requested shops online with additional PAD, and twice they sent it with a different amount. I also don’t understand why they just can’t do a “Make an Offer” type solution. One total price so there is no confusion.
