Mystery Shops with a 'buddy'.

I was pretty sure they were not nice neighborhoods but the pay rate won me over. Plus, I assured myself that a world-renowned, well established international company should be in a somewhat safe and secured environment, right? No. Ultimately it was the decent pay that made me want to believe. Greed. Plain and simple. But now a different shopper will also find out that there is no payday when the job cannot be completed because the location is just never open.

Not seeing these on my job board any longer..is this msc still doing these?

Shopping Idaho and Oregon/Idaho border region.

I think it's done. I applied to one yesterday and the scheduler said I had to do both parts that same day (it was already afternoon).

Quite a few have popped up in my vicinity and "hot spot" which is 1800 mi from my current location. At least one is located within a grocery store in an affluent area. They're pinned on the app. I'm not seeing any of these on the job board.

I haven't done any...yet. I don't see any mention of the transfer fee in the lengthy shop description. How much is it? I see the expense limit under the shopper fee is 0.00 so it must NOT be reimbursed?

The transfer fee is $5 and it is reimbursed.

I wanted to do another set of these, but the only ones left were single locations so far from me that it wasn't worth it. If they had had two locations in the same town at a slight distance, so I could send and receive on the same day, it would have worked. As it was, I'd have had to drive 60 miles to a town with two available locations so I could do both parts on the same day, or I'd have had to drive 30 miles to one one day, 20 to another the next day (as they were on opposite ends of the county). I hope they do another round of these.

I learn something new every day, but not everyday!
I've learned to never trust spell-check or my phone's auto-fill feature.

The fee must vary by location. Mine was $3.95, I think.

I really wanted to do these, and for once they had some that were only 22 miles away (usually I have to travel 60 miles one way to do anything for this MSC). I do have experience working for this MSC and a good rating. I have done a high number of the "inquiry only" assignments for same client when they were offered so plentifully at the end of last year and beginning of this year (GREAT scheduler manages those btw).

However, despite several applications, all I got was radio silence. I tried writing in about it, but also got radio silence. None of the postings I saw had an actual scheduler name or contact, which makes it pretty hard to figure out how to get going with these assignments.

Appreciate the info from everyone here - the job seemed straightforward enough. I figured the complexity was going to be timing and getting a reliable, communicative partner.

I made about $650 on this project, loved it. Had 2 locations with service down and was paid for both one full rate the other half rate. The schedulers for this project were amazing. Some locations had points deducted for bs (I didnt list height when instruction stated description suggestions not requirements "give descriptions hair color, age, height, etc") but other than that best project for me yet.
