Would you take this shop?

I've received a shop request that has two scenarios - either go to another shopper's home and take their photo or have another shopper come to my home and take my photo.
If I accept either, I will receive a "small fee" and a chance to be entered into a contest to win cash.
Would you take this shop?
What I'd like to know is if the MSC wants a shopper's photo, why not ask the shopper for it? why ask one shopper to send a photo of another shopper in their home? strikes me as odd and curious.
I'm not interested at all.
This is the second MSC asking me to collect or submit data in exchange for the possibility of winning something.
I only work for commitments, not chances, if I wanted to work for chance, I'd pull the lever on a slot machine or go to the carnival winking smiley
Do you spend time doing things (like filling out questionnaires) or spend your time working just for a chance to be entered into a contest to win something?

not my circus nor my carnival or casino lol.
I don't think it is strange to ask one shopper to take a picture of another shopper instead of having a shopper submit his/her own picture. Fraud prevention.

I would not do such a shop because I don't want another shopper to know what I look like or where I live and because I like actually getting paid fairly for my work.

It would never occur to me to submit a fake photo, so I guess my mind doesn't work that way. Interesting...makes me wonder who's fooling who lol. (or is that whom winking smiley )
Why would anyone do that? What's wrong with the MSC having the shopper submit a license copy.

I received this and thought it was strange for several reasons. A “small” unspecified fee/raffle entry as compensation is less than appealing. Allowing someone into my home that I don’t know to take my photo (or going to someone else’s home) seems sketchy. I wouldn’t mind meeting up with another shopper in a public space if the fee was reasonable, but definitely not in my home or theirs for safety reasons. I’m interested what this assignment is for and if they have any takers!
H___ to the no....what other way can they get a shopper to work for them for the small fee of a promise......sad smiley

Live consciously....
Sounds very, very sketchy to me!!! OP, would you mind telling us the name of the MSC??? That could help us a lot in determining if this is legit or not.
I got that email, too.... It is a well-known MSC, but I can't remember which one... I just remember thinking, "Uh.... no" before deleting the email.

Hard work builds character and homework is good for your soul.
Of course, it's GFK. They also would like you to train another mystery shopper, in your area, during your audits, for the same pay of a flat fee. Oh, yea, sign me up to train my replacement. Uh, no!
Do they ask for a drug test and background check? This is the type of shop that would probably need one. There is no way.
Not only would I not take such an assignment, I would be rather hesitant to complete any assignment for a generic MSC offering such an assignment. Knowing that the e-mail was from GFK, I just pressed deleted without reading. They are on my over 10 foot pole list.
Out of curiousity I sent an email Friday asking what the pay was. I haven't heard back.
Since I am looking, if it were a older guy I might, but would bring a married friend with me, for safety reasons This seems odd however, mystery shopping for years and never ran into this.
By reading the news every day, I'd venture a woman has more to fear than an older guy by a factor of about 100 to 1.
But whatever, it's an odd shop request, IMO.
No Way it sounds like no much of a dangous job for me to do. I not going to someone house I do not know and take a pcture them , I also would never willing knowing allow someone I do not know to come to my house to take a picture. The could say their would a shopper nad this was just for asigment but how would you know for sure they could not take the picture to seat your ID or some other no cool reason.
I got two emails over the weekend about this. I just deleted them. I wonder who will do this?
Do not come to my home.

Picture this..I take this shop and it's a guy just ready to take my photo. Husband walks in and starts yelling. I start whimpering "Honey, this is not what it looks like." smiling smiley
There is no way I would do this shop. I saw it and it sounded so strange. I think mystery shoppers, in particular, would be adverse to this kind of thing. I don’t know if the MSC is just trying to delve deeper into its pool of shoppers or what. A database full of shoppers’ headshots seems a bit creepy. Can’t imagine that they will get many bites but, who knows?
