Using one desirable shop as bait to take an undesirable one- RANT

You can take the food to go. You just need to take pics before you package it up. Thats what I did.

For the smoothie shop, you have to eat the food there. With the amount of required food, I would think that means you need to bring a guest....2 people, photos and the report for the $15 reiumbursement seems to be not a good deal to me.

The instructions with the new MSC say you can get your order "to go". With the other MSC that offered a small fee and you just needed to buy the one smoothie, the order had to be consumed there.
I am so NOT doing the smoothie shop. It was offered as the "good shop". I don't work for sugary drinks (plus the stores are notoriously dirty behind the scenes). 100% pass.
It should be the opposite. Do the smoothie shop and get a better shop, not the other way around.

Don't give them ideas... the pizza one isn't that bad and I don't mind doing a bunch of those to get the nicer ones...

I agree. The smoothie shop is a "10-foot pole" visit. I put Bruegger's in that role, too.
Nobody goes to the smoothie place for their baked goods/bowls. I wasn’t even aware they sold that stuff. So it would essentially be an entire shop with a seemingly lengthy-ish report, plus whatever other shop(s) they bind it with, in exchange for a smoothie.

I mean, what? If I wanted a smoothie that badly, I’d rather just pay the 4 dollars or whatever and skip everything else.

I am beginning to think that you are my much younger shopping twin.

I might not be much younger than you think? My bro/sis are Twins and look nothing alike. If they weren't brother and sister they would never have been friends because you could not find twin siblings more different than they are. It is almost as if they each have different parents they are that different.

I was the same way with Cream (An ice cream place in the OC SoCal area). It paid $5 and you had to buy 2 ice cream products. Those cost about $7. I did it twice then stopped doing it because I'd rather pay the $7 and not have to do a report that took 40-ish minutes and was a pain in the.............."nose"

I agree, I did the first ever Cream shop in Northridge and it was a major PITA. The receipt actually printed out with the store name/address from the location in Norcal. There were other issues too, not to mention the report. One time was enough for me. I didn't love the product either.

My twins are VERY different, but have a bond that is so strong it's amazing. Their personalities, looks, and interests are SOOOO different, but even look at Vivian the wrong way and Alex is next to her making sure she is ok. (They are almost 6)
I did the smoothie and pizza shop for this company. And the company just threatened to not reimburse me for the smoothie shop because the hour signage photo was not close up enough. No where in the instructions did it say it had to be legible. I am so mad. Does this company always do this??? I am scheduled to do the upscale burger shop for them in two days and and am worried they wont reimburse me for that one.
Sorry for the rant, btw. But am new to this company. I have worked with another company for many months and have never been denied reimbursement.

I'm sorry you won't be paid because your photo was not legible. I don't think you need to be worried that you won't be reimbursed for other shops. This is a good company that really works with their shoppers, and few shops are denied. I have worked with them for 8 years now and done multiple shops and never had one unpaid. There was one time I was allowed to go back and purchase an additional item( because I had goofed) so my shop could be used.

ALL your photos need to be clear. If you are photographing a sign or menu, it needs to be legible. What would be the purpose of photographing a sign or a menu if it is not legible? If any company requires that you photograph a sign, menu or other written material, they should not need to tell you it must be legible. If you are photographing food, the photo needs to be clear so you can see the items up close. Get up close and take clear photos.
Ive been meaning to post about the funniest example of this topic ive seen.

The msc is testing if a coupon notification pushes through at salys for 20%off. (So something anyone can get) up to $5 reimbursement $0 fee

*use your data not store wifi

"We are looking to assign these to shoppers who can also do other shops on our job board in the same cities. Please look at our job board, then note with your application what other shop (other than other coupon app shops) you can help with"

"Many of these locations are near other shop locations that we have with our other clients. I may be emailing you to ask you if you can do both this shop and another shop with another client nearby. Shoppers who are able to do both are given preference for this shop"

What a prize!

I have done numerous shops for this company. One time, I forgot to take a pic of the outside of a building and they allowed me to go back 2 days later to get the pic. They have never denied a shop.

I just reviewed the instructions for this shop and it does clearly say to take a picture of the exterior signage which shows the hours of operation. I think its a reasonable interpretation that the sign should be legible in the photo. As others have suggested, maybe they will allow you to go back to take the picture again.
