Welcome to the board, you came to the right place. I would suggest spending some time reading some posts on here, you have hundreds of years of mystery shopping experience to learn from. The best thing to do is just start signing up for companies, there are hundreds of them listed on this site and each one has different clients. If you are just going to college you might check into age compliance shops, there is good money to be made if you are the right age.

thanks. Bark! i'm reading right now and i love the information! i'll keep y'all posted if i need anymore questions
Do not be disappointed if there are not a lot of shops available in your location. Be careful. Choose shops that make money. You are not doing mystery shopping to spend your own money You should be making an acceptable amount of money after you parked your car and finished the reports.

Figure how much gas and time it takes.
Group several shops on a route so each shop makes the total mileage for the route less than if you just took one shop (1 shop divided by one (cuts down on your profit) or x amount of shops divided by x amount of the round trip to do them all equals x amount of miles per shop.)

Total the money you make on all shop and the hours you spend performing the shops, deduct the expenses and divide the net money by the hours. Would you work for that amount per hour?

Would your school work suffer if you spend time on reports rather than school?

Extracurricular activities look great on your resume, shows your interests, gives you contacts in later years. Do not give them up for mystery shopping.
School is not going to get in the way of mystery shopping. I'm going to school next year in the fall, so I want to get started with it anyway.

I plan on doing mystery shopping jobs mainly on the weekend, such as Fridays, Saturdays, and Sunday. I see there is not many shops within my area, but i do plan on traveling on the weekends and doing a couple shops within the area such as Atlanta, Memphis, and etc.

Can I job a mystery shopping job for a hotel, then do some shops during the day/evening in bigger cities?
Sure. Why not?

Shopping Bama and parts of Georgia.
I'm still learning 24/7.
Larvarious - a good company to start with would be Corporate Research. Their shops start out with modest fees that constantly increase moving through the month or quarter. In my area, they have shops that eventually pay really well for your age group. Another company which might work well for you is Maritz. Both these companies work nationally.

Mary Davis Nowell. Based close to Fort Worth. Shopping Interstate 20 east and west, Interstate 35 north and south.
I will definetly sign up for those companies. I hate to keep asking y'all questions in here, but do I need to get the gold/silver certificate to get more shops that pays well?
Use the "Search" function to search for "certification." Use all dates. There's plenty of discussion for you to read.
Major Thanks To Everyone On This Forum For The Help. I already see a job in my town, so I'll apply and get it done tomorrow. I'll keep y'all updated!
I only signed up with three companies, but I'll try to sign up for a lot of them.
Way to go, Larvarious!

Starting out, I would advise against giving away your money for certifications or to scheduling companies. This work doesn't pay a lot. Paying money on the premise of landing better, or more shops, is a pipe dream. We pay our dues by doing shops - and doing them very well. Sign with tons of MSPs. If you live in an area ripe with shops, the legwork will serve you well.
@Mert

i'm going to devote one hour tonight to sign up to as many shops I can! I'll do the same tomorrow. I'll focus on doing shops and completing them, then i'll focus on getting a certificate later on down the road! Thanks for the advice
Remember as a newcomer, hotels are tons of work with low pay....build up your skill first, before tackling the "big stuff and have fun.

Live consciously....
Yeah I'm going to tackle a rent shop first.. Seems pretty easy, and I don't have to many a purchase tho.
