new shopper in NY

Member Introduction - I've been mystery shopping for 7 years but I'm new to doing it in New York State. I can't find the shops I did in CT and FL up here.

Jobslinger never takes shops off Most of the shops have green mold on them they are so old.

You do get to see Mystery shop companies and can look on those sites directly, but you can look on this forum and get a better "official List of Mystery Shopping Companies" without getting fustrated sorting through the the bone yard of dead shops (Job Slinger)
There can be great value in mold--consider penicillin. Because the shops are left up even after they are taken you at least can tell what companies have recently had shops in your area. Because of the cyclical nature of shops, getting signed up with those companies will give you a head start on future cycles. By far the most frequent cycle seems to be a month, though some are 2 weeks and some are quarterly. In this business there are rarely shops that are only done one round, though merchandising type assignments may be a one time deal.
