I am a newy..can anyone tell me if paying to become a member for secret shopping a usual occurence? One company wants £50+ to enrol me...

Beverley - It is not normal practice to pay the shopping company. The signup with the shopping company is supposed to be free. You don't ever give them money, and they don't send you money in advance. After you perform the shop, they pay you.
