Newbie to the forum

Hi! My name's Ana and I'm new to this forum. I've been doing mystery shopping for two years now and find the $$ is coming in handy. Not making a grip of ca$h but so far it's worth my time.

I have been doing mystery shops for over 10 years. I have done USPS for two companies and now there is a third....but who is it...no one mentions the name. Please let me know it you can... even disguise it in some way
The naked truth is that we would be violating our Independent Contractor Agreements if we told you.
hi! i'm third, i'm new in this industry. can anybody assist me?
Hi, third, welcome to the forum. Plenty of help here. Go to the New Mystery Shoppers section and read all you can, then start applying with companies. Everything you need to know is probably here. Good luck! You won't get rich, but it's fun and you can pick up a few $s.
Can someone give some legit companies? Doing this on my own is not working well.
There is a list of legit companies in the first post of the first thread of the Mystery Shopping Company Discussion section of the forum. This is also accessible just below the reply box for a post. Read around the forum and you will see what companies folks are having issues with and you can judge for yourself whether you are willing to try to work with those companies. Realize that a shop rejection may be fair or unfair based on the shopper's performance. Not paying shoppers within the agreed upon time frame happens to everybody with some companies.
Hi iam am thinking about becoming a mystery shopper. Has any one herd of swan consumer logistics? Is that a legitamite company?
There is a recent thread about them here [www.mysteryshopforum.com]

Not a mess I would care to get into!
Hi all. I'm Ms Lynn, new to mystery shopping. In fact I won't do my first shop till next week. So I have a lot to learn. Hoping to get good at this. I am most concerned about the surveys and evaluations I have to write. Any help or suggestions most welcomed.
Hi MsLynn - if you do an internet search on Cathy Stucker mystery shopping free course, you will get a link to a free email course. I found this very helpful when I was getting started. On the writing you have to do -- unless you are specifically asked for an opinion, they do not want an opinion. They only want factual observations of what you saw and heard. Generally, they do not want "I feel" or "I think" or "I suggest" or "They need to" or "They should". To quote the old Jack Webb TV series, "Just the facts, ma'am."

Mary Davis Nowell. Based close to Fort Worth. Shopping Interstate 20 east and west, Interstate 35 north and south.
I'm having a problem finding companies to actually go out & shop for. Can anyone help me get started?
Report writing is one of those things that the more you do it, the better you get at it. First of all, the normal rules of grammar, punctuation and spelling apply. Additionally, try to avoid the use of contractions. "I could not see. . ." rather than "I couldn't see. . .", "They did not suggest. . ." rather than "They didn't suggest . . ." Write in complete sentences and try to avoid run on sentences. (It may help to think you are writing about the experience to a 10 year old niece or nephew, so keep it plain and simple.) As Mary mentioned, opinion is never part of the report unless it is specifically requested. And most companies provide you a sample narrative that can give you a really good idea of how much detail they seek. On most reports you need to answer every "no" question in your narrative, no matter how long the narrative gets. Some also want supporting comments for "yes" answers, so read through their instructions.

Good luck with it and don't let it scare you.
Stageangel, if you are just getting started, try signing up first with Market Force (blue portal), Bare, Corporate Research and Maritz. Although these are companies shoppers love to hate, they are also companies that offer good clear instructions to help you get started, generally work well with new shoppers and have locations in every zip code of the US. A big plus with them for many/most shoppers is that they mostly pay fairly quickly relative to other companies. Get your feet wet (or your wings) with these and then add other companies. There is a list of legitimate companies below the 'Your Reply' box on any thread.
