7 year shopper new to forum

I made a bad choice on whom to work with. I did a shop with BARE got a score of a 10 then did another shop with them and got another score of a 10. Then a week later they tell me they cannot use either of my reports and I’m out $140. I have worked with the same 4 or so companies for 7 years and was looking for a new variety. I am taking it as a learning experience and will do my research next time first. Plus I will share my bad experience with others so they do not have the same result.
I figured I would keep my eyes open here and if I see repeat positive comments about a company then look into working with them. This looks like a great forum.

That's probably a good plan. I've done many shops for Bare, with 10 scores and never a question. You don't mention the reason Bare gave you for disallowing the shops; I'm curious what it could be since Bare is usually willing to ignore a few little things to keep the report and pay the shopper.

Yes, please tell us what Bare had to say about their reasoning. We need to learn what problems may be developing.

In total it took them over 1 week from my first shop to say they did not like how I handled the shop. They said I did not give the associate enough opportunity to sell. They were not there so I do not think they really know how the visit was performed. I do not understand how I had a perfect score for more than a week however!

That sounds odd, after a week and a 10 rating to not be paid.....I would want to find a good reason for this. I would fight this to the end, the reason they gave just isn't valid enough.

It might just be the editor. I would bump the argument up to the executive level. That does not sound like Bare.

Bare shops are very few and far between in TN. No problems. They seem to like the financial world with Bank of America.
I am new to the forum and really don't know what to expect. I enjoy mystery shopping and merchandising. I love the interaction between people and I try to always be objective.
I have worked with BARE before and never had any troubles with reporting or getting paid. In my opinion, they are a good company. If I were in your shoes I would not give up easily. $140.00 is $140.00, that is a lot of money to walk away from. I wish you luck with the situation.

Hello back, Jody. 10 years, wow! We share, swap and exchange all sorts of goodies here. Even unwanted advice, sometimes
Came home Friday night, sick, forced myself to submit 3 bank shops & 2 supermarket to avoid that dreaded "overdue" notice that kicks in after midnight. Couldn't stand it anymore so this Cinderella went to bed. Woke up, still sick but forced myself to enter the last 2, both Bare shops. One was no longer on my shop log ! I ran to my E-mail and read that it was "cancelled". I tried to call and did e-mail the scheduler back. I so hate that " I messed up feeling". Moral of the story "Be ye not sick and do not go barely into that good night".
