Your post is difficult to read. If they are asking you to pay money up front, it is not legit.

You are saying you received a check and you haven't done any work? It's a scam. No one pays strangers up front for work that they haven't done.

The chk csme w letter, explains what to do and when. 72 hrs. Dep chk. Text or call a number and name. Go to walmart to do job, ie cust serv desk. Take money to do a money transaction, see how employee gets. Soynds like im to confuse them. Send a store to store pymt w the chk money.
What bothers me is what happens in 72 hrs, check gets returned bad..or what..and im depositing. Giving 24 hrs to clear it says..so im confused. Wish i could show you. Its like myst shopper... i did sign up for one minth ago. Got in pkg mail today, letter and check. Instructions. What to do

You've been told twice already. It is a scam. Twenty-four hours to a couple of days may be enough time for the bank to release the funds to you, BUT it is not enough time for the check to really clear. It will eventually come back as bad. You will be on the hook for all the money and fees and could face prosecution for fraud.

Shred everything or take it to your local police department.

Turn it over to law enforcement. It's a fraudulent check. This scam is nothing new. If you deposit that check it is going to cause big trouble for you both legally and financially.

The above link is an example of what happened to someone else about 9 years ago regarding this check cashing scam. This happens a lot, and at least once a month someone joins the forum to ask about what to do with the check. Hopefully you are smart enough to not fall for it.
