Just wanted to stick my head in the door and say hi. 
Very much a mystery shopping noob. I was all gungho about it a couple of years ago - read a lot of forum posts, books, even did a couple of training courses - but then life got in the way and I didn't follow through.
This year I had more time and decided to try some of the online only/phone apps as a way of easing myself into mysterious activities... I've now done quite a lot of jobs using three of these companies. A few virtual jobs, but mostly in stores, even did a one day 200 mile circular route which I know is a walk in the park for many of you guys but quite an adventure for me!
Most jobs have been covert audits, covert photos, or very basic merchandising, I've not tried any real MS purchasing scenarios yet. It's definitely been an interesting learning experience so far and I'm beginning to think I might be ready to sign up for some of the MS companies directly as well as working for them through the online intermediaries.
So that's the gist of it so far. I look forward to getting to know you & learning from everyone's experiences, both good and bad.
