First Time MS and 1st time forum user - needs help

Hi, I am new to this site and I am trying to find ways to make additional money for my family. I work full time but I want to be able to supplement my income and eventually be a stay at home mom for my children. To do that, I have to find ways to make extra money. That is where MS came in. I know and have heard there are a great deal of companies out there that are good and some that are bad. Could anyone please direct me to the good and the bad? I know some of these may be personal experiences, but I would like to see who would be the most reliable MSC out there. Seeing how I have no idea how to start or where to go, I would appreciate any help on this subject. Thank you in advance and I hope there are good companies that are reliable out there so I may stay home and help my children grown and learn and be there when they need me to be there. I feel like I have missed so much working a full time job that gives me very little time off other than the weekends to be with my kids. I don't want to miss any more of their formative years.

MSing may allow you to spend more time with your kids, but it is not going to replace full-time income while doing so.

Meanwhile, the section of the forum entitled "New Mystery Shoppers" is the best place to start. The first seven threads are devoted to different topics about how to start and grow your mystery shopping business. When you are ready to take the plunge there is a list of 200 or so legitimate mystery shopping companies on this site.

None of the shoppers here can really say which is best because we all have different reasons and different goals. Some prefer assignments where the "pay" is reimbursement for a good meal while others just want the money. There are threads about most of the companies on the list and you can read shopper opinions before signing up. Truthfully, the only thing to really watch out for are companies who start having consistent issues with payment. I say consistent because at one time or another mistakes are made. I judge a company on how often they make mistakes and how they rectify the situation.

Yes, look down at the bottom of this link to find links to the company lists. I did get burned by Franchise Compliance but they are now out of business. Others on the forum got burned by Freeman but I think they went belly under too. This forum is a great place to learn and also can be quite entertaining at times, LOL. Good luck!
FREEMAN GROUP. NO GOOD. I did one big job for them and never got paid. Glad I only shopped once. They did go belly up. I did hear in the past that someone else took over. Does anyone know what company?
