Signing Up New Shoppers

Hello Fellows,

I am an MSPA Certified Gold Shopper and I recently started a new MS Company. I am wondering what would be the best resources to bring new qualified shoppers other than the MSPA.

Hi. You have started a new mystery shopping company? Boy are you brave! it seems to me that there is plenty of competition out there!
I started a business FOR mystery shoppers and when I tried to talk about it here, I really got slammed big time! But I haven't given up!
I have started a mystery shopper forum, called [deleted] It is much like this one, and I hope a lot of mystery shoppers and mystery shopper companies will contribute to it. the Nomadic Mystery Shopper is for anyone who shops AND for all the MSC as well. It is a place where both sides of Mystery Shopping can go and learn from each other, I hope. The forum is sponsored by [deleted] so there is information about what The Mystery Shopper Assistant actually does there, but it is not required to read about it or join it or anything else! We just hope you will use and enjoy the forum!
Anyway, there will be mystery shoppers there that will be glad to register with your new company and we welcome you to the forum to tell us all about it.

I guess you have the owners permission to post your forum here...

nomadic shopper,
Why have you decided to post under two different names on the forum. Why not just change from your old name to your new name by contacting Jacob. That way all of your previous posts will be associated with the same name as your current/future ones. People tend to be very leery of posters who post under two names, as this practice has been associated with some very poor behavior on this and other forums.

I'm sure that as the proud new owner of a forum, yorself, you will find that it is nesceesary to limit members to one identity throughout their tenure as members, even if they are permitted to change the name that they use for all posts.

Edited to add:
I looked back and found that as "shopperassistant" you PMed me stating that even that was not your original screen name on this forum. Again, your posts by name 1 are not linked to those under name 2, or name 3. How dow we know that you will not show up with a fourth name and endore your new forum and your PAID services?

Will you be permitting such behaviors by those who post on your forum?

Advertising for your silly service was bad enough, promoting another forum is incorrigible. Just who the hell are you really? And now that you have used three names (that we know of) why should anyone trust you?

Obviously you have not bothered to read much here prior to using this forum for you own nefarious purposes. If you had, you may have realized many MSCs do contribute.

Now why again do we need you?

This is my first experience with this forum.
Thank you for the valuable tips.
With all respect, this is my first experience with this forum. I assume that a professional behavior requires positive language and mutual respect.

Criticism is welcomed, but using foul language is not.

Thank you.

mhanieh, I'm not understanding your posts. You've twice quoted a spammer who is trying to sell very expensive and unnecessary services to forum members using free advertising. Do you have some connection to the spammer, who has now created three different identities in her efforts to steal free advertising space from this forum to promote her very expensive services and another forum?

Then you quoted LisaSTL's post chiding her for using foul language. What foul language has been used? Are you referring to the word "hell?" I don't think of the word "hell" as foul language. I do agree that professional behavior requires positive language and mutual respect. Mutual respect dictates that a poster who has been requested to stop posting spam on the forum should not create additional screen names to continue posting spam. A spammer who spams once perhaps does not understand, a spammer who continues to spam is disrespectful.

As you said, this is your first experience with this forum. Welcome. Stick around and read and learn.
That one is just another 2 bit spammer that needs to be shown the door...

I'm certainly glad that someone has finally taken the time to let me know what is allowable. Mr C, why the hell didn't you or AM or wales tell me this before?

And to think a brand new forum member would help us out by jumping in to classify acceptable vs. foul language and explain to us what constitutes professional behavior. Who would ever have guessed?

I am somewhat taken aback that someone with no legitimate history in this community would feel justified in coming here to promote a competing business. All of what Nomadic Shopper states that their service will provide is already being done here as a professional and worthwhile free resource to our shoppers.

If you wish to try to duplicate even a tiny bit of what is offered here, best of luck to you. But please, don't impinge on someone else's hard work and efforts to advertise your own dubious enterprise.

This deserves to be said twice ..... or maybe three times.

Why pay high prices for what you get free already?
If memory serves, Nomadic Shopper is also rewriting history. Her service was questioned (rightfully so as it is questionable) and members made it clear it was inappropriate, unprofessional and unethical to utilize Jacob's forum for free advertisement without first consulting Jacob. That does not qualify as "slamming" her, whatever her name happens to be today.

Equal rights for others does not mean fewer rights for you. It's not pie.
