Hi From NJ

Hi everyone, my name is Barbara!

I found this forum when searching online to find out if an email I received inviting me to secret shop was a scam. After I received more information, I found out I was to "shop" Western Union and Money Gram..so of course it was a scam.

I have always wanted to become a Mystery Shopper but never knew how or where to start. I looked around the forum you guys have put together and all the information is right here at my finger tips. smiling smiley I must say that I am very impressed with the quality and amount of information that is contributed and shared here. The spirit of friendship and camaraderie is quite apparent on the site. This group is very dedicated and it's so nice to see people willing to help others get started.

I lost my job last week so I have the time needed to invest in getting started. Hopefully I can get to a point where it will be a nice supplement to my income when I find another job. Until then, it will be something new to learn and keep me busy. I have already read through the New Mystery Shoppers forum and scheduled 2 "shops". My first one is tomorrow.

So I'd just like to say THANK YOU to those who have shared on this forum. It's been a huge help to me.

I'm still learning 24/7.
How great that you have already gleaned information that will help you. I admire that your "down" time is being use to learn something new in order to keep your mind focused and active during the job search. It will be a great supplement when you are back to first careersmiling smiley

What part of NJ are you in? I'm in Northern NJ. Ooh - and welcome!
Welcome, Barbara! Best of luck to you with your first assignments. Let us know how they go!

Thanks for the welcomes everyone!

beyoden, I live in North Jersey as well! We are neighbors!

shopgal I did my first shop last night, submitted my report and received an email this morning that it was accepted. It went well and was relatively easy although I was nervous. I was so worried I was going to forget to stop my stop watch!
Great job, ImBabs! And hey, I still get nervous when I'm doing "new to me" assignments.
