New to Shopping

Hi All, I have signed up to do mystery shopping, but my DH was concerned about giving my bank account # for payment. Has anyone evr had any problems with payment or the bank accounts?

Welcome to the forum. I prefer PayPal and use it whenever I have a choice, but I do use direct deposit with CORI and Second to None because they deduct a charge from your payment if you use PayPal. I currently have direct deposit with Bare International, CORI, Second to None, and TrendSource. I've had no problems and all transfers have been fast and accurate.
Never had a problem providing my bank account number to MSC.
Bee, if the company wanting your bank account number is not listed in the posts above this one, tell us who wants your number and we can comment on experiences with that company. Welcome to our group.

I've used direct deposit with MarketForce and Service Intelligence for years and never had any problems with them. I think msc's are just like any other company that pays their regular employees by dd. As long as you are dealing with a reputable company on a secure site, I don't think you need worry.
AS FAR AS PAYMENT GOES, WOULD IT BE POSSIBLE TO REQUEST A CHECK? I DON'T USE PAYPAL, AND NOT 2 EAGER TO GIVE OUT MY BANK ACCT NUMBER!!!!

Aplyn - Most of the MSCs I work for don't mail out checks. The majority will direct deposit to your bank account or deposit to Paypal. As you sign up with companies, each will explain their payment method. I haven't had a problem with furnishing my bank account number for direct deposit. Some of the companies pay only through Paypal, and if you want to work for them you'll have to set up with Paypal. Not many of the companies I work with have options on payment.

Paypal and direct deposit are both safe and they are the preferred methods of payment in this industry.

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.
Bestmark ONLY mails out checks for US shoppers. They don't pay Paypal or Direct Deposit.

A way to get around the direct deposit rule on the ones that require it is get a prepaid card such as Paypal or several others available. Just give the account number and routing number from that card to the MSC for your direct deposit info. When you receive payment, you can then simply use that card for future mystery shops or you can use it for regular personal shopping or pay bills from it. Any security risk would be limited to the amount left on the card and some of them come with insurance that would even protect the balance.
I use the Paypal debit card like this so when Market Force pays me direct deposit to the card, they are really paying to my Paypal.

Shopping across Indiana but mostly around Indianapolis.
