New kid on the block

Hello everyone!!

I registered a couple weeks ago and have been lurking a bit. Finally decided to come on out and say hellosmiling smiley My name is Ariana and I just started mystery shopping about 2 weeks ago. I just got hired with Safeway to do shops, and I have done several shops for a few other companies I have found on Jobslinger. I have taken the advice of the veterans here and I have just been reading, reading, reading! There is a lot of useful information on here and I am so glad I stumbled onto this forum!

Shopping Bama and parts of Georgia.
I'm still learning 24/7.
I am new too. My name is Jessica and I started mystery shopping at the end of June - so I have been at it a month now. As suggested, I signed up with several companies. I have been paid for one shop so far and the shops I did in July (about 6) I should get paid for mid-August. Not bad! Some of the shops I could not say no to - a $30 shop at the airport ($10 reimbursement) and another shop for $18 (no purchase needed) at a shop in midtown Manhattan, when I had to pick up my sister at the airport anyway. Sometimes, the paperwork can be daunting - I am trying to master the whole timing thing, which I do on my cell phone stopwatch, hopefully not obvious. But the reward should come on paydaysmiling smiley I have to say, reading this forum is very motivating.
New to Mystery Shopping, too!So far so good!

Welcome!!

I received a check in the mail today in the amount of $ 2921.09. I have not registered to be a MS anywhere. Asking me to deposit then follow instructions exactly as they read. Then after deducting my pay send them the balance. Can anyone help me with this? This a mystery to ME! Thanks for any help.
It is a scam and the check is no good.
