Just wanted to post my first official "Hello". I usually don't spend a lot of time doing things like forums or chats. Seems that when I am finished filing shop reports, I'm ready to be anywhere but in front of a computer screen. But I have in fact spent time reading some of the posts here. One thing that I have noticed, is that most folks are hesitant to give too much info on MS companies if they really love them. I'm guessing that could have something to do with "protecting their territory" so to speak.
I remember before I got started in this line of work, I had a former co-worker who retired from the corporate world; and began doing MS to help out with healthcare costs. He gave me very limited information about the companies that he was working with. I truly believe that was for fear that I might move in and take some of his business. Well, that was a couple of years ago. I had just retired myself; and I began doing my own research on MS. To this day, that person still has no clue that I began shopping...and probably am taking some of his business away from him.
Anyway, I've been very happy doing this. I'm always looking for new and better assignments, pay, report completion times and so on. I'll be happy to share what I know. And I'll certainly be thrilled for any good information that someone is willing to share with me.
